Women's Chamber Celebrates 6th Anniversary

at the 3rd Annual Women's Hall of Fame

May 13, 2008

May 8, 2008 the Women's Chamber of Commerce of Nevada celebrates a 6 year milestone of giving back to women in the Southern Nevada communities. From a dream to a reality June Beland developed a community, state and national connection that had no chamber of commerce for women. Women have a lot more needs then men, so that is why it was vital to help women with resources (local-state-national), mentoring, money, building their career or business while serving on community committees. June is building a Legacy for Women in Nevada.

WCCNV went from 15 members in 2002 to 317 members today, and set a goal with the sales team to have 700 members by June 1, 2008. This is the first time the chamber hired a sales company of Young Professionals to build the membership base before we start getting into lobbying and taking trips to Carson City, Reno and Washington with our Government Affairs Director Anita Laury.  They will also help raise money for our Building Fund and PAC Fund to help Anita reach our financial goal to help with Women's Issues.

The NEW 2008 sales team Mission:

They set up a membership Drive to sign up 700 members by June 1, 2008 with corporate members, Exclusive Pillar Trust (who will help with Grants) and general membership.
