The Jersey Boys

Jersey Boys at Palazzo. BRILLIANT! Last Friday evening I attended the Media/VIP night for Jersey Boys thanks to Marleen Marino of VegasCommunityOnline.com. Opening night, with a Red Carpet and stars, was held on Saturday, May 3 with the cast of Jersey Boys and remaining original Four Seasons, Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio and Tommy DeVito.

Jersey Boys is the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons and how a group of blue-collar boys from the wrong side of the tracks became one of the biggest American pop music sensations of all time.

They wrote their own songs, invented their own sounds and sold 175 million records worldwide - all before they were thirty and before sampling and huge production teams worked to make a record. They also sang themselves without accompanying backtracks and vocal enhancements! The show features such hits as “Sherry,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You,” “Oh, What a Night,” and many more.

Jersey Boys was sensational! I loved every minute of it. You will not see this show only once. The concept is so original and the dialogue very, very mature. The acoustics at the theater is fantastic. This show will run longer than Siegfried and Roy! I will be back! Once will not be enough.

Frankie Valli is played by Rick Faugno and, at the 10:00pm performances, Joseph Leo Bwarie. Faugno has a voice you will not believe. This is the show to see.

The Jersey Boys is at the Jersey Boys Theatre at Las Vegas’s new, very high-end Palazzo Resort-Hotel-Casino (pictured). Ticket Prices: VIP Package Seating - $235(!), Front Orchestra & Loge - $135, Rear Orchestra - $95, and Mezzanine - $65. Also, note that the ticket prices do not include taxes.
