CONFESS! THE POWER COMPELS YOU!

If I were to say to you "can you keep a secret? "

Would you know just what to do Or where to keep it?

ABC said it best with their epic love song “Poison Arrow” and we at HDNET’S VEGAS CONFESSIONS are here to let you know you can share your deepest and darkest secrets with us. We won’t judge you.

It hurts to bottle things up things inside, doesn’t it? Don’t you want to take that mad crazy sin, that THING you’ve never told anyone about and share it? It’s the right thing to do and you’ll feel so much better.

Maybe you can’t tell Mom, Dad or Pastor Bill about it down at your local church, but you can bare your soul to the Vicar of Vegas, the Reverend of the Town That Never Sleeps, his Excellency Pope Michael Politz. And his special host, Cindy Taylor, of course.

This ground-breaking, cutting-edge show is a labor of love from Mr. Politz, who is the original poker-playing junkyard dog. People love to confess to him. Would you like to confess? Email michael@fb101.com and you will be directed to a pew this weekend. And no Hail Mary’s. Father Politz promises.

THE EPICUIREAN AFFAIR IS STARTING TO SOUND MORE LIKE "THE THOMAS CROWN AFFAIR"

Pay close attention, folks. This starts out like a boring little news brief but gets REALLY interesting a ways in.

The Nevada Restaurant Association has announced entering a "strategic partnership" with Deluca Liquor & Wine Ltd., which has given the Association $30,000 to carry out its goals on behalf of Nevada restaurants and allied members. The contribution makes Deluca the association's largest 2008 corporate sponsor to date. Deluca is a leader in the wholesale distribution of beverages, with a mission to continually improve sales and service to meet suppliers' and customers' needs. Deluca sells only premium and regional brands through a highly trained and specialized organization. About 60 to 70 percent of the companies' business is with hotels, casinos and restaurants. "Our job is to promote, protect, and educate restaurant properties throughout the state, building a stronger restaurant industry, and safeguarding Nevada's quality of life," says association Chairman John Gerarde, Maggiano's Little Italy. "Deluca is supporting the growth of an industry whose success is vital to the communities, economy, and well-being of our state."

The partnership began through talks of contributing to the education scholarships and jumping on board as the title sponsor of the of The Annual Epicurean Affair held at The Flamingo Hotel. DeLuca’s commitment to education went much further than involvement in one event. Yes, the same event that homunculi Rino Armeni thought so bold to ask for a name change after he named his own organization 10 years later with the same name. But Wait… there’s more! Here’s where it gets good. The Epicurean Affair was a lovely event that filled the pool decks and the grounds of The Flamingo with World class chefs, libations and savory dishes for everyone. All under the watchful eyes of The Big Flamingo himself Don Marrandino. Bravo to the Don and to Aleksandra, Izabella, and Monika Okapiec the beautiful Alizma Triplets that accompanied him throughout the evening.Turns out that all wasn’t perfect in paradise after all. Seems that another liquor distributor in town put a few banners around the Epicurean Affair stating that they were sponsors of the event and listing the brands that were represented by them. However, the company NEVER paid the sponsorship fee. Come on guys! You're only cheating the kids here. Do the right thing. The check can be made payable to the Nevada Restaurant Association.

This is part of the new Planet Green series BATTLEGROUND EARTH. The two entertainers are traveling around the country to raise awareness about the environment and to score with really hot eco-chicks. While in Vegas, they’re also going for the Guinness World Record™ for the ‘Worlds Largest Group Shower.”

MGM ANNOUNCES FATOR DEAL BUT MICHAEL JACKSON IS THE REAL STORY

Score one for the Kings Of Redundancy, the messiahs of Getting Scooped On Your Own  Story. The MGM muckety-mucks finally got around yesterday to announcing what we told you about two weeks ago – that Hilton headliner and America’s Got Talent winner Terry Fator has signed a five-year deal to perform at The Mirage. This happened only after dazzling Danny Gans decided to move across the street and join his old friend Steve Wynn. But the real story of the day wasn't Fator. It was The King of Pop, Michael Jackson. Even during the news conference it was evident that the MGM conference was a day late and a dollar short, overshadowed by rumors and rumblings that the Michael Jackson Vegas revolution had begun.

Now, this isn't news to you, our readers, because you'll recall TheVegasEye.com presented this info to you at the same time we dropped the Fator bombshell. You see, Michael Jackson was able to keep Neverland Ranch after a loan on the California property was sold to Colony Capital LLC, a Los Angeles based international private investment firm. NOW. Guess who Colony Capital owns? Give you a hint: Between late 2003 and early 2004, Park Place Entertainment Corporation sold the Las Vegas Hilton to an affiliate of Colony Capital LLC for about $280 million. So connect the dots for me, kiddos. An affiliate of the company that owns the Hilton greed to hold the $23.5 million loan it acquired from Fortress Investment Group while it negotiates “payment terms.” And Jackson confirmed he is in discussions with Colony and its founder, Tom Barrack Jr., "with regard to the ranch and other matters." Wonder what they’re NEGOTIATING about?

Could it be … A SHOW?? Are we correct in saying that Michael Jackson will sing and dance in the showroom of his former father-in-law, Elvis Presley? TheVegasEye.com was never notified of any press announcement regarding the Mirage’s new multi million dollar attraction. Wonder what happened to our invitation? Our phone call? Our email notification? Those were coming through fine before our recent story about how Sin City Beer and its’ preferential placements by MGM because of the marital relationship between its owner and a high-ranking MGM PR executive. This must be our punishment by the MGM PR department for calling attention to this breach of ethical conduct.

Thinking about it, though, the person being punished most is Fator. Shutting us out cuts off the stream of information not only to you, our two million loyal weekly readers, but Fator as well. Fator ends up getting hurt the most, which is really throwing the baby out with the bathwater, don't you think?  Think about THIS was well: This kind of snarky behavior sends the very clear message that the PR department at MGM  sees absolutely no value in your patronage. It’s difficult to watch corporate executives act like this. We can only hope that this is middle management’s doing, not the REAL higher ups at MGM. Does the MGM/Mirage Board, Terry Lanni or Kirk Kerkorian know that middle management is keeping vital information from them? Do they even care? Information that could affect their oney?  Maybe someone should buy a clue before stock values drop. Playing favorites with the media is a double edged sword. Bridges burn both ways. As many of you have seen over the years, trying to keep thevegaseye.com out of the loop has only made our reporting better because we’re more driven than ever to get to the truth.
