Floyd Retires From Boxing To Take On Wall Street

Hometown boxing hero Floyd Mayweather says he’s through with fighting and now wants to take on Wall Street. He has now started describing himself as “an ex-fighter,” but he’s in the midst of a new fight trying to get a so-called Internet Floyd Fan site to remove his name, face and fight footage.”I have nothing to do with them,” he said and he’s filed a lawsuit here seeking damages from them for trading illegally off his distinctive and famous name.

I chatted with Pretty Boy Floyd at his Mayweather Foundation dinner co-hosted by Red Rock realtors Bob and Jill Barnstable to benefit St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital.

At the Wynn he told me categorically: “No more fights. No more contests in the ring. No more championships. That boxing career is over. I’ve got my target set now on Wall Street and want to conquer that. I’ve made a lot of money from the ring and now I want to make even more from the world’s financial headquarters.

I’m going to fight to the top there next. My foundation is only a year old but I want to do more with my life helping touch childrens’ lives. I want to be able to celebrate the winner in everybody and help them before they get into trouble. My life now is as a charitable guy, all about caring, giving back and being kind. I want to see kids getting healthy and in proper programs with structured housing and good educations”

The former Dancing with the Stars contestant and World Wrestling one-time only sensation added: “It’s all about giving back to children but having fun while we’re doing it.” It’s estimated that Floyd made hundreds of millions of dollars during his fight career.

He recruited actor Taye Diggs, singer Keyshia Cole, NBA star Gary Payton and actress Vivica Fox to his charity evening at the Wynn and took them all off to Victor Drai’s Tryst nightclub there afterwards. One bidder paid $100,000 in the auction for his final-fight boxing gloves which he promptly autographed. Floyd himself paid $3,000 for a plastic surgeon’s eyelift package and I mischievously asked if it was insurance in case he ever fought again.

He laughed: “No, it’ll be a gift for a girlfriend sometime. I’m not going to fight again.” I pushed: “Ever? Never ever again?” Floyd was firm: “No, there will be no more fights. Well maybe just one that would be completely different than normal, if we can come up with something so unique and special that could never ever be repeated. It would have to have the biggest prizefight purse in history and I’d donate it all to my children’s charities.”

Britney & George’s Second Dinner Date

Gossips are going into over-drive trying to figure out whats going on between pop-princess Britney Spears and our Palms resort hotel mogul, George Maloof. Just before she fled to Belize for a Caribbean sun, sand and sea vacation with Mel Gibson and his family she had dinner out at the chic Sur restaurant in Beverly Hills with George.

Click here for our May 12 Luxe Life posting and photo.

Now eight days later the moment she returned from way south of the border George took Britney for dinner again, this time to the swank Il Sole restaurant in Hollywood. They were mobbed by paparazzi photographer flashes, but eventually driven away in an SUV by his driver. Luxe Life is watching this breaking story, but believes their meetings are out of friendship rather than a full-blown romance and the twosome are discussing how best her return comeback concert at his Pearl theater here in Vegas would be staged.

Hunk Hasselhoff Locked In Hotel Suite For 24 Hours With Simon Cowell’s Girlfriend

It could have been the most delicious scandal! David Hasselhoff and Terri Seymour spent 24 hours locked inside a suite at the Planet Hollywood Resort. Terri’s boyfriend, American Idol producer and judge Simon Cowell could have broken the door down to rescue her! It even looked highly compromising when they were both discovered in lounging bath-robes! But truth be told it was all a stunt to promote the Hoff’s Web site with the couple “streaming the night’s events” via his hasselhoff.com podcast. As a way to keep David and Terri entertained, some Vegas entertainers were recruited to drop by and perform portions of their acts. One was new Flamingo headliner, Nathan Burton, who won second place and national acclaim during the first season of America’s Got Talent, which Hasselhoff judged. They’ve remained friends and to impress David for the podcast premiere he magically appeared through the doors of his suite with his showgirls in tow.

Said David: “Nathan Burton was so great on the show. He did the most amazing illusion where he disappeared from the stage and reappeared right behind the judges table and scared all of us!” (This trick, known as the steamroller, can be seen at nathanburton.com).

In order to entertain David and Terri through the night hours Nathan brought four beautiful showgirls and performed his straight-jacket escape and other tricks. As a finale he sawed Terri Seymour in half.

Video crews from David’s Internet team were on hand capturing the video and streaming it over the web. Cameras from Extra also documented the action for an upcoming segment . Those robes? Terri and David had just received an innocent massage when Nathan and his showgirls burst in.
