Magicians of The Century encourage runners to participate in the 5K race and sign up with Team Siegfried & Roy.

Siegfried & Roy and Opportunity Village unite forces for the third year in a row in an attempt to break the World Record for the Largest Santa Gathering at the fourth annual Las Vegas Great Santa Run, Saturday, Dec. 6, 2008. Siegfried & Roy serve as Honorary Team Captains for the 2008 event, giving participants a chance to be a part of something truly magical during the season of giving.
The Las Vegas Great Santa Run is a fundraising effort benefiting Opportunity Village and serves as a light, spirited warm-up run for participants in The Las Vegas Marathon the following day.
Check-in and greetings from Mayor Oscar Goodman begin at 8 a.m., and the race starts at 10 a.m. in and around the Fremont Street Experience. Registration fees are $35 prior to the race and $45 on race day with all proceeds benefiting Opportunity Village. Participants may register by visiting www.LasVegasSantaRun.org. All participants will receive a five-piece Santa costume complete with hat, belt and beard. Entrants may choose from two courses: the 5K fun-run for the long-winded Santas or the Kris Kringle Jingle, a one-mile stroll for the casual walker or jogger.
"We are delighted to be a part of Opportunity Village's Las Vegas Great Santa Run for the third year in a row. It is a great event to support a wonderful charity in our community," said Siegfried.
“It’s the magic and spirit of all the Santas that led me through the race these past few years. I look forward to this race again this year and invite you all to walk a mile in my shoes for this great Las Vegas event," added Roy.
