You'll be seeing a lot of Tom Jones this weekend and the first week in December as he's promoting his new CD 24 Hours. Among the appearances are Leno on Wednesday, Kimmel on Friday and, this weekend on BBC America, he's on a very, very funny Graham Norton Show.
The CD is an interesting mix of music — including a cover of Springsteen's The Hitter and Sugar Daddy, a lighthearted look at Tom Jones' image written by U2's Bono and The Edge. Jones himself co-wrote the other songs and they cover a range of styles. At 68 his voice is great — strong and vibrant. If you haven't listened to his music in awhile, it's worth checking out and, if you've been a fan all along, there's a lot to like.
