Fashionably Fall

The arrival of the Fall season culminates is the beginning of the end of the calendar year, but it is the start of a new fashion season – time for a new look – a revival of old themes with new tweaks – and a chance for a new look – both introspectively and physically.   This newer or updated image is a boost to yourself and can place a smile on your face and soar your emotions to a happier level.

One of the many changes that we can do to create a newer feeling after the burnt-out state of those embers that remain from a Las Vegas sizzling summer, is to step forth – say, “Here I am and world you’re not going to forget me!”   What an emotional boost!  Altering one’s physical appearance can be as simple as a trip to the hair stylist for a new cut and color.  Theresa Graves, a phenomenal stylist and colorist, transformed Lucille’s (the female half of The Valley News Team) blonde on blonde tresses into those of autumnal red hues.  She studies facial tones, eye color and overall appearance in a consulting visit prior to the actual hair session.  That is the mark of someone who really knows her craft – not a cookie cutter (please, excuse the pun) stylist; she will lift you up to your potential and make you leave with a non-stop smile.  Multitudes of compliments were bestowed upon the new (but original) color that best suited the skin tones.  Kudos and accolades to Theresa Graves, a first rate and ultimate stylist!

A new wardrobe is not necessary and spicing up your old one is quite simple and easy.  Those skinny jeans are still a great look – only now, tuck them into high boots, wear them with fall flats, or the sexiest, high heels that have been presented in a long time!  A new scarf (yes – the oft forgotten fashion accessory) is back with a vengeance to add new colors and fabrics – use a tattoo or animal themed one to take a swirl near your face – a long one to add a dash of glamour to your total presentation.  Keep your oversized purses, but add a smaller one or a clutch to carry your possessions – a handbag completes an outfit with aplomb.  Remember, stretch your present fashions with new accessories to be Fashionably Fall!

Muting your make-up for the daytime with natural tones and mineral powders can refresh your face.  Smoky eye make-up creates new visions for those eyes!  Do not skimp on the mascara – two or three coats make your eyes stand out and sparkle.  Deepen your lip color with darker colored glosses or lipstick… your nails, too, can go dark and daring.  Perfumes and colognes help the scent of a lady linger – do not be swayed by the biggest advertising campaign – choose one carefully – so it compliments your moods and chemistry.

Colors!!!!  Gun metal, pewter silver and myriad shades of deep brass are excellent choices for accessories – they can be used with many different clothing choices without having to have to change into many purses.  Naturally, black, brown, deep grays, those metallics, and fascinating prints of many colors are all on the shelves and racks with a resurgence of eggplant.  Yes, deep purple is back!!!

Large faux gems in rings, things, necklaces and long earrings can add to your fall fashion glamour.  The tried and true classics are remaining and will always spell one word – classy!

Have forever fun with fashion, make sure it works for you and never be a copycat just because the magazines and runways say this is you – originality is the heartbeat and key to a new FASHIONABLY FALL FEMALE!!!
