Do you enjoy what you do?

It's important that you do, seeing as how you spend most of your life doing it.

If you're singing at Carnegie Hall or mopping the floors there, the Light is always involved, and that means there is fulfillment to be found. It all depends on your consciousness.

Discover the little things you look forward to in your day. If you do the same task over and over, find a creative way to do it differently. Inject excitement and passion into whatever it is you are doing. If this isn't your dream job, then the positive energy you put into it will lead you towards your true calling.
 

 

In the Power of Kabbalah, I wrote, don't believe the senses. We are deceived by illusionary logic. We don't see energy, we don't see when disease starts, we don't see when the miracles come.

Remember this today. I don't expect you to change your perception overnight, but I do ask you to get out of your head for one second and look for the reality you don't see. Open the door to understanding those things in life that don't make sense.

As spiritual people, we are always increasing our awareness of the signs and messages that come to us. However, at the same time, when we do see those signs and hear those messages, very often we shirk those opportunities and responsibilities with the thought that we'll always have another chance.

Thinking that another such window will open is erroneous. The reality is, we usually only have one chance to talk to someone, only one chance to do something, and we don't realize the intrinsic value of these solitary opportunities.

Each day brings us a once-in-a-lifetime chance. There may be specific people that we can touch today - with whom tomorrow we would have no connection, no opening; with whom yesterday there was no opportunity, no chance for connection.

Today, turn yourself towards the windows that open, no matter how subtle or quiet those opportunities may be.

What is the purpose of your relationships? Besides fulfilling you and helping you correct your soul, how is the world benefiting?

Relationships can be eternal if we create things with our friends and loved ones. Maybe it's starting a neighborhood project or organizing a fund drive or writing a book. It's the most satisfying thing to work on something with other people, especially if it's something spiritual.

Today, focus on your most important relationship and brainstorm with that person about ways in which the world can benefit from your unique connection.

Too many times we get a great idea or impulse but we don’t act. We ‘think it over.’ And before we know it, it’s too late.

Miracles need to happen in the space that’s not comfortable and is risk-taking. The second you know what you need to do, that is when the action needs to happen.

Leave thinking alone for the next 24 hours. Act…and act fast!

What's behind your actions and your attitudes?

What is the nature of the energy with which you do things?

What is at the core of your behavior?

The answer is consciousness, as in, your thoughts, your desires, your belief systems — the lens through which you view the world. What goes on in your mind will color what you do and how you do it.

Today, take a closer look at yourself as you go about your life. Look at some of the things you are running after and see if you can discern the different kinds of consciousness you have in relation to them.

Most of us have an appreciation for what we don't have, but we don't appreciate what we already have. But you know this already. The brand new car this week loses its umph 10 weeks from now.

The big question is, how do we maintain our gratefulness?

Remembering.

Whatever you have right now is yours because at some point you desired it. The trick is to constantly remind yourself of why you wanted it in first place. Go back to those feelings today. That's what being grateful is about.
