Leading Where It Counts: Dems Top GOP In Voter Registration

 

Democratic voters in Nevada now outnumber Republicans by more than 81,000 voters, according to the Nevada Secretary of State’s office. Democrats in September saw slightly less than 40,000 new voters registered, while Republicans registered only 29,000 new voters in the month. With that advantage, Democrats now lead Republicans in active voters by 80,665 voters in the state.

“We’ve got a lot of work to do to make sure these voters who are new to the system show up to the polls, but it’s exciting to see so much enthusiasm for the change we need in Nevada and Washington,” said Travis Brock, Executive Director of the NSDP. “We’re going to take our message to these newly registered voters however we can, asking them to send Barack Obama to the White House, and Dina Titus and Jill Derby to Congress.”


 

Nevada Becomes Even More Important As McCain Gives Up In Michigan

John McCain’s campaign pulled out of Michigan last week, leaving the Wolverine State in the hands of Barack Obama. This means that McCain will likely be putting even more money, people and resources into the states he believes he must hold. These include states like Missouri, Colorado and Nevada. Winning in the Silver State is more important than ever -- as goes Nevada, so will the nation!
