RICK SCORES!

Ricks Cabaret is finally opened to the public
and I can tell you from years of experience this
is most entertaining gentlemen's clubs in Las
Vegas. From the minute you walk in you notice a
spacious laid back atmosphere which is a needed
change for this industry. This was also one of
the first times when I could actually taste
alcohol in my drink. For those looking for a
more intimate surroundings you should visit The
Grand Havana Room located upstairs. One
unexpected surprise was the aerial acrobatics.
It seemed as if these girls had come straight of
a Cirque du Soliel. So if your looking for a
good time this blogger would suggest checking
out Rick's during their grand opening week and
see for yourself.
DJ AM RETURNS TO PURE

The party at PURE Nightclub was the talk of the
town on Tuesday night as world famous mix master
DJ AM returned to resume his residency at the
Sin City hot spot. Just after midnight, as the
crowd's anticipation skyrocketed through the
roof, DJ Hollywood got on the mic to welcome AM
back to the turntables of PURE, prompting an
overwhelming roar of excitement throughout the
entire club. The mash-up phenom then stepped
behind the wheels of steel on the club's main
VIP stage overlooking a sea of enthralled club
goers and with a grin from ear-to-ear, got back
into action as partiers snapped photos, cheered
him on and danced throughout the night. There to
experience the celebrated return of DJ AM was
fellow beat master DJ Homicide, professional
bodybuilder Jay Cutler, professional poker
player David Williams, Starlight Tattoo founder
Mario Barth and members of hip-hop group Boo-Yaa

"The First Basket" opens Nov. 14
Did
you know that a Jewish kid from New York scored
the first basket in the NBA?
The First Basket follows the little-known
history of Jews and basketball at the beginning
The 20th century. The film opens theatrically in
Los Angeles on November 14th at Laemmle’s Music
Hall in Beverly Hills and the Town Center in
Encino. The distributor is Laemmle / Zeller
Films. Please RSVP to 323-692-7258 to attend the
following screening:
Laemmle Music Hall
9036 Wilshire Blvd. (at Doheny)
Beverly Hills
When Ossie Schectman, a Jewish kid from
Brooklyn, made the first basket for the New York
Knickerbockers back in 1946, who knew it was the
precursor of today’s NBA? For Jewish
immigrants, especially youth, sports played an
important role in helping them assimilate. By
the 1920s, almost all urban Jewish neighborhoods
had a basketball team. When these teams evolved
into professional leagues by the late 1940s,
Jewish players and coaches led the way.
