What is meant by this Army acronym? Replacement In Place.
It’s time for us to train our replacements and prepare to head
back home to our families and friends and to the beauty and
strength that is our home, America. A year sure has gone by
quickly. As we prepare to redeploy I look to my fellow Soldiers
with a deeper understanding of each and every one of them.
Though we once knew very little about each other and sometimes
didn’t even get along; I now feel surrounded by brothers and
sisters, battle buddies, friends, who I will truly miss and I
will always remember.
It was a good experience. One I learned so much from. One
of the most important things I learned while I was here was that
America loves its Soldiers more than ever. It understands our
commitment and sacrifice, our fears, our loss. America
experiences these things with us. And it reaches out to us more
than ever to provide us with comfort and strength. If I may I
would like to ask for one more good gesture of all of you. If
one day you happen to come upon one of my fellow Soldiers who
served in Afghanistan or Iraq remember what they meant to you
during this time of service and how much you loved them for
their service. And if they are out there looking for a job, as
many of us will be in a month or so, if you are in a position to
help them, please do. They served you well before and would be
very happy to have that privilege again.
Finally, I
present these words below
TO YOU

For
tremendous compassion and support for the Soldiers of the 382nd
Military Police Detachment. It is with great appreciation that
we thank you for your genuine concern for our personal
sustainment while deployed and for contributing so generously to
support our humanitarian efforts during Operation Enduring
Freedom IX, Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan
