Join County Commissioner Lawrence Weekly at the Back 2 School Shoe Drive hosted by Poetry night club. They are asking for new children’s shoe donations, and will accept boys and girls shoes up to size six. Dance The Night Away!

Taking over a VIP loft at LAX Nightclub last night was America’s Best Dance Crew season two champions, Super Cr3w. The West Coast b-boy troupe danced their way to a luxurious second story loft where they spent the evening soaking in the limelight. The members of the dance crew sipped on Belvedere Vodka and showed off their signature moves to the master mixes of DJ Hollywood. Also spotted taking in the sexy scene were NBA players Antoine Walker of the Memphis Grizzlies and Amir Johnson of the Detroit Pistons. The kings of the court snagged VIP tables on the main stage where their entourage joined them for Grey Goose Vodka cocktails. Walker and Johnson partied with their pals until the morning hours, topping off their night with Dom Perignon Champagne.

Via Brasil Steakhouse

Via Brasil Steakhouse, an authentic Brazilian “Churrascaria,” is set to open in Summerlin in mid-October.  An extension of the award-winning Via Brasil restaurant in New York City, Via Brasil Steakhouse plans to offer the same exceptional cuisine and personalized service to Las Vegas.

With an interior inspired by Rio de Janeiro’s Copacabana Beach, the 9,200 sq. ft. restaurant features a large full-service bar, which opens up to an adjacent outdoor patio outfitted with heaters and misters, a private room with a projection screen for special functions and corporate events, a beautiful interior water wall and a wine cellar.

“We are pleased to bring Via Brasil Steakhouse to Las Vegas and present a taste of Brazilian cuisine and culture to the many locals and tourists,” said Adam Gomes, co-owner of Via Brasil Steakhouse.  “Guests will enjoy our impeccable service and energetic ambiance that provides a new twist on the dining experience; and, of course, our Caipirinhas.”

A traditional, authentic Brazilian “Churrascaria” (steakhouse), Via Brasil Steakhouse features a gourmet salad bar with an extensive array of hot and cold dishes, cold cuts, cheeses, assorted salads and sushi made fresh daily.  Fourteen different kinds of meats, including “Picanha,” (Brazilian cut top sirloin), poultry and fish prepared on their custom-made “Churrasqueiras” (rotisseries) are carved tableside, as well as delicious appetizers and decadent desserts.  A vegetarian option offering a wide selection from the salad bar, is also available.  An appetizer menu, serving portions of the more popular dining selections, will be available at the bar.

In addition to its full-service bar, Via Brasil Steakhouse proudly serves the national Brazilian drink, the Caipirinha. Traditionally served with fresh lime and Cachaça (Brazilian rum), Caipirinhas can also be prepared with such fresh fruit as grape, kiwi, orange, passion fruit, raspberry and strawberry, and Cachaça may be substituted with other rums, red wine, sake or vodka, and is also specially prepared tableside.

Via Brasil Steakhouse will also offer a Champagne Brunch Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  The Champagne Brunch will feature complimentary mimosas, an omelet station, assorted breakfast and lunch options at the salad bar, as well as made-to-order breakfast classics, prepared tableside.
