Keynote Speaker Chancellor James Rogers 

James E. Rogers was appointed by the Board of Regents to serve as the NSHE's ninth chancellor on May 6, 2005. He previously served as interim chancellor from May 2004 until his appointment.

Mr. Rogers is a 1956 graduate of Las Vegas High School. He has degrees in accounting (B.S.) and law (LL.B.) from the University of Arizona and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of Southern California. He was a teaching fellow in the law school of the University of Illinois in 1963 and 1964.

 

 

Mr. Rogers holds honorary doctorates from the University of Arizona, Gonzaga University, the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, the University of Idaho, Idaho State University, Albertson College of Idaho, Carroll College of Montana, Kentucky Wesleyan College and a Master of Laws in International Law from the University of Arizona. He is a member of the State Bar Associations of Nevada, Arizona and California.

Special: Right before the Keynote Speaker we will have Anita Laruy WCCNV Government Affairs Director walk around the room and introduce our 2008 Judicial Candidates attending the luncheon so you will know who they are.
