Passover commemorates the Exodus from Egypt and the liberation of the Israelites from slavery. Passover commemorates God's sparing of the Hebrew firstborn as he saw the blood of the Passover lamb on the doorposts of their houses on the night of the Tenth Plague, The Festival of the Unleavened Bread refers to the week-long period when leaven has been removed, and unleavened

Last week we announced the winner of the "Poem of the Month" giveaway, and for the 3rd month in a row our winner has asked to "Pay it Forward" to a member of the armed services or one of their family members.

This month's winner, Jessi Alexi, wrote this wonderful poem  "It Doesn't Seem Right" and asked VCO to pay the $100 gift certificate  forward to one of our fighters.

Are you very tall…very small…or  do you hang from a trapeze by the  ends of your lengthy  hair? Juggle pizza?

 
 

Auditions will be held  this summer  in Las Vegas for an exciting new  touring show, Circus McGurkus directed by world-renowned Franco Dragone.  The show will  rehearse in Las Vegas  in the fall before touring throughout the country  starting in March 2009.

Seeking all types of  Daredevils, Unusualists, Specialty Acts,  Fakirs, Illusionists, Contortionists  of any kind, Side Show Artists, Male or Female  Tight Rope or  High Wire Artist, and Unique Physical Specimens.

It is preferable that the artists are multi-talented, able to act and dance or move well,  or possess numerous specialty skills. 

Ability to sing  and/or do gymnastics, tumbling, etc. is a huge plus, but not a requirement. 

Seeking a well rounded  performer  with a circus or gymnastics background to  play  young teenager Morris McGurk.

Due to the gracious donation of Providence we will again be outside. A family day with the event and lunch will be a great opportunity for you to “Join the Movement” and participate in this fantastic event. The 2008 walk MS will have  community interest booths, the Las Vegas Fire department, The 51's Mascot, face painting, kids events, performances from area schools, entertainment, and a  $2 lunch!! All we need is you!!!

Our walk will be under the warm Las Vegas Sun, at this beautiful Master Planned Community in Centennial Hills. We will be enjoying the breathtaking views and a moderate passed walk.
