BIG Show, small price

We have a tie, between performers and building contractors, who has the bigger ego?  I think its building contractors, because they don’t even try to please you, they take all your money, and they are not very entertaining.

I tell you this because I have been meeting with pool contractors to get my pool re-plastered, and I always thought performers were primadonnas.  However, I just met four of the nicest performers, The Stars of Magic. They are very humble, friendly and seem to genuinely enjoy performing, happily greeting their audience, and present a good show.

For 10 years, I longed to see The Amazing Johnathan.  After waiting all this time, two months ago I got to see him.  Fifteen minutes into his show, he turned my stomach, and I walked out.  On the way out I asked the cocktail waitress if Johnathan got any better, she said “NO”.

Most shows in Las Vegas are around $100.00, and almost none of them are worth it.  The sidewalk outside The Amazing Johnathan showroom is dusty and dirty because of street repair work on Harmon, inside the showroom is filthy and it stinks.   You get all this and The Amazing Johnathan for only $75.00.

For the same money, you can take five people to The Stars of Magic, and still have change. They only charge $12.95, and it’s over an hour long.  The Royal Resort is a nice, clean place, with a small 50-seat showroom, so you don’t miss a trick.   After the show, all four stars greeted and took pictures with the audience.

The Stars of Magic is well worth the price of admission; these people really want to entertain you.  Moreover, unlike Johnathan’s show, it’s not offensive, Stars of Magic is a sweet, nice show; you can take your whole family, even the very young.
