The International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is a trade show held each January in Las Vegas, Nevada, and is sponsored by the Consumer Electronics Association. It is a trade-only show and is not open to the general public. At the show, many previews of products are introduced, or new products are announced. The show is held at the Las Vegas Convention Center with additional venues used for specific specialties. The CES is now considered one of the major technology-related trade shows, following the cancellation of Comdex. The annual International Consumer Electronics Show starts January 8th, and is traditionally as much a boisterous celebration of all things technology as it is a trade show. Elvis Presley Birthday Celebration 2009

Thursday, January 8 - Sunday, January 11

Elvis Aaron Presley (January 8, 1935 - August 16, 1977; middle name sometimes written Aron) was a cultural icon, who is commonly known simply as "Elvis", "The King of Rock 'n' Roll" or "The King". In 1968, he returned to live music in a television special, and performed across the U.S., notably in Las Vegas. Throughout his career, he set records for concert attendance, television ratings and recordings sales. He is one of the best-selling and most influential artists in the history of popular music. Health problems, drug dependency and other factors led to his death at age 42. Learn more about Elvis HERE
