Marriage Can Be Murder just celebrated their 10th anniversary in Las Vegas. Jayne and Eric Post are still doing their thing better than ever. They are now at the FITZGERALD Hotel & Casino and I remember when they first started their fun dinner show at the now defunct SHOWBOAT. Jayne and Eric write the scripts and play the parts of Dee Dee, the dipsy hostess and Eric, the Lieutenant Detective—and they are just great. “Marriage Can Be Murder” is an interactive award-winning dinner show that is a comedy, murder mystery and dinner show experience all rolled into one solid performance. The food at FITZGERALDS is quite good. I had the salmon and it was flaky and delicious along with salad and yum yum cheesecake for dessert.

The night I was there was the show’s 10th anniversary and Mayor Oscar Goodman arrived to present a special proclamation to the cast of the show. Unbeknownst to the crowd, Mayor Goodman became the first “murder victim” of the night being accidentally “shot” by a “hitman” and was taken out on a gurney. Mayhem and fun continued.
“Marriage Can Be Murder” can be seen seven nights a week at 6:30 p.m. with seating beginning at 6 p.m. This certainly is a very worthwhile entertaining evening.
At the same event I saw Kevin Burke who does a great job in ‘Defending the Caveman’ now at the LUXOR. Kevin told me he does a standup-comedy, mentalist, magic show that goes on after “Marriage Can Be Murder.” Because I know Kevin quite well, he invited me to stay on to see his show called “Fitz of Laughter.” That I did, and I was impressed by some of his psychic abilities and his shenanigans. He is a fun guy and this is a show quite different from Caveman, but most entertaining. Kevin Burke is now celebrating his 13th month anniversary of “Fitz of Laughter.”

His Honor, our Mayor Oscar Goodman recently celebrated his 70th birthday on the FREMONT STREET EXPERIENCE. And what an experience it was. Showgirls, entertainers, celebrities, Bombay Gin and fans with his picture, filled the area. The overhead visuals showed pictures of the Mayor’s life. Only in Las Vegas, and only our Mayor. Happy Birthday Oscar!

Andrew Dice Clay has made a career out of being the most outrageous and dangerous comic of his time. Dice shocked audiences and broke the rules with a never before seen style of hardcore comedy which has never been equaled to this day. Dice’s rise to fame was meteoric and unparalleled—with sold-out arena tours across the country including two nights at Madison Square Garden, multi-platinum selling albums, starring roles in films and countless TV specials. At the same time, he was blackballed by the industry and became the man to hate by every politically conservative group in the States and beyond. And who could forget his “lifetime ban” from MTV because of his “profane language and offensive jokes” at the Video Music Awards?
Often referred to as the Rocky of Comedy, Dice is now ready to take back his crown. Just recently, Dice made the industry stand up and take notice when he literally hijacked “The Pollstar Awards” & HBO’s “Down & Dirty.” Since then, the accolades and demand have been non-stop. If you are ready to be shocked don’t miss this rare opportunity to catch the Man who is putting the SIN back in the CITY at the RIVIERA. I was invited to Clay’s opening and brought a guest who I forewarned about Clay’s language and topics. As long as my guest knew what was coming, he enjoyed Andrew Dice Clay, and was able to laugh and laugh out loud.
