A Night To Remember

OOPS! SHE DID it again! And How! Once again, socialite Dame Sandy Peltyn outdid herself in coordinating a fabulous Halloween Costume and Birthday party for her son R.J.’s 30th birthday. Hard to believe R.J. is now 30. I’ve been going to R.J.’s Birthday Celebrations since he was 21 and each year it is a superlative, exciting, surprising event.

This year’s extraordinary event was called “The Boo Ball at Club R.J.” and was held at the ARTISAN HOTEL that was decked out in Halloween motif. The ARTISAN HOTEL was completely taken over by hundreds of guest wearing the most fabulous costume imaginable. Costumes went from outlandish to regal and everything in between.

The night was filled with surprises. There was a market place where guests shopped for gifts with thousands of dollars that were supplied to them when they entered the ballroom. Tattoos, Tarot card reading and back massages were also supplied. A great D.J kept the music going, and dancing went on and on into the wee hours. Gorgeous people filled the dance floor and looked “simply maaaahvelous.”

There were passed hors d’oeuvres and then delicious food was served in the dining area. Desserts were a surprise, as they were surrounded by an alluring live nude model (covered in strategic places) who was lying still like a statue and seemingly did not breathe. Fabulous prized were presented to the winners of the Costume Contest. All this was created by R.J.’s mother, socialite, Sandy Peltyn who was attired in a fabulous costume as Conchita Banana,

This year, the clocks were turned back at 2 a.m., so guests had an extra hour to frolic. Guests were having such a great time that none wanted to leave. Happy Birthday R.J., you’re the greatest!
