Thanksgiving and Gratitude

HOW SATISFYING IT is to simply rest in a few moments of knowing our oneness with Spirit. When we see the divine in every person, we are continuing and strengthening a most sacred tradition.

Human tendency is to gather and store good for a future time when it might be needed. From a spiritual perspective, however, I know if I focus on holding onto what I have, I am not making myself available for new and even greater good.

I practice gratitude for the blessings and support that I enjoy, however, I also have a calm detachment from them. The ease with which I generously give comes from my firm belief that Spirit provides me with what I need and more. My giving creates a space in my life for Spirit to pour in new blessings.

I receive such comfort in knowing that whatever I desire—inner peace, guidance, strength, love or a new home—is available to me through Spirit within. As I give to life, life enriches me with a feeling of soul satisfaction. So I willingly and cheerfully generously give myself to life, and I give gratitude to Spirit for the true prosperity that comes from living my life from the heart. With a grateful heart, I accept blessings from Spirit.

“Dear Spirit, Your love continually inspires, renews and prospers me. I am filled with gratitude for the banquet of blessings in my life.”

Happy Thanksgiving and let us remember to give thanks everyday for all that we have received.
