A great kabbalist once
wrote, "when a father complains that his son has taken to evil ways, what should
he do? Love him more than ever."
Who do you know that needs a little extra love today?
We need to
look past the mask people show us, to see the soul within. We do this by working
with our own strong emotions. It is what is inside of us that we are trying to
avoid that prevents us from truly "seeing" the other.
Once we find it and become willing to FEEL it — it is like magic - our vision of
the other changes. Sometimes it is hard to stay there - the blame will keep
creeping back in - but when we own our feelings, we start to have some different
choices.
Today, when you are experiencing a strong emotional reaction to someone, find
out what old feeling they have triggered. It's never about the other person.
Look inside and you'll see.
Spiritual revelation can come
as a flash – it shows itself, you get it, and then it disappears. That’s why
it’s so important to act now, not later. Later the clarity or truth might be
fuzzy.
Today, the moment you glimpse the truth of what you need to do, act on it.
Immediately. Don’t wait or it might disappear. If you think to call a friend you
haven’t thought about in years, call her. If you want to change something,
change NOW.
Use the glimpse!
We're all human. We all get
to moments where we don't feel like doing or caring. But we have to realize we
are at war with our darkness. This can be one of the most dangerous weapons of
the other side — to stop pushing.
We must constantly grasp for our next level. Even when we're tired, don't have
the energy, had a bad day — even then we must find the strength to inject energy
and look within. Insecurity, hurt by others, whatever the excuse is to become
lazy — if we're not alert to our enemy's moves, he knocks us down.
Today, push back against your inner-gravity. Challenge yourself to do more than
you usually do. Go the extra-EXTRA mile.
When things just land in our
lap without any effort, chances are it will soon fall out of our lap.
Conversely, when we work hard at something and experience obstacles - when there
is a process — then know that this is the spiritual process at play and what
good comes of it will last.
Today, allow space for the process. When you are ready to give up on something
because it's not coming right away, resist your desire to throw in the towel.
This restriction will let the Light in and actually speed up the process.
Are you
excited? If not, then why?
You know what, forget about why. We've got a million and one stories circling
our heads for why we can't be happy. That's the work of our inner opponent, the
master storyteller.
Let's drop the stories today and maintain our consciousness that things are
becoming better. Visualize a brighter future in the midst of any pain you may be
in and realize you are getting closer and things are getting better. Look for
those moments. That's how we create our reality.
And while we are on the subject, what about your ability to awaken the spark of
excitement within others? Do you empower others with passion? Without joy and
vitality, we are on our way down.
Today, think and say the things that will give yourself - and others — a shot of
life. Straight to the heart.
Beware the power of your
words. We are the sole conductors of our fate, and what we say has the ability
to take our destinies in many directions.
With everything we do and say
there is a force that motivates.
When we say things are rotten -
that is what we expect, so they are.
If we say things are good, things happen that way.
We are the motivation for our own lives.
