Lord Please Don't Pass Me By

I'll be the one in the corner
With my face turned to the wall
Trying to keep people from knowing
That I'm about to fall

Man will never know my woe
Father to you, I cannot lie
So when it's time to gather your children
Lord please don't pass me by

My hand is stretched out from the shadows
I know 'you' will know I'm there
The life I have lived, had it's lows and highs
When you pass my corner, of the world
Lord please don't pass me by

Father forgive me the life I'd embraced
Drugs, drinking and laughing in your face
If you were to ask me, I swear I don't know why
All I can say is I'm sorry, father forgive me
Lord please, please don't pass me by
