What I've Been Missing

Father fill my life
Open my heart, my soul and my eyes
LET ME SEE WHAT I'VE BEEN MISSING

Morning dewdrops on the flowers
The winds rolling across the fields
Barely touching anything
Yet fully engaged in everything
The almost invisible flutter
Of the humming birds wings
LET ME SEE WHAT I'VE BEEN MISSING

The warming rays of the sun
Breaking through the rainbow tinted skies
Kissing every plant on earth
Leaving reflections in the dew
LET ME SEE WHAT I'VE BEEN MISSING

When a child laughs
Let me see the purity in that laugh
Of a soul not yet jaded
By a world raging in turmoil, hate and sin
LET ME SEE WHAT I'VE BEEN MISSING

I want to take the time
To really see all those things
I barely noticed before
Yet I've looked at for so long
SO I CAN SEE WHAT I'VE BEEN MISSING
