When asked what they
want out of life, most people say: happiness, love, trust, and so forth. Yet
most people are not always willing to do the work that is required to be
happier, more loving, etc. You can only give what you have. If someone is a
cynic or skeptical, can they give excitement and optimism? If someone is
depressed can they give you a injection of happiness?
Today, focus on what you want out of life. Practice being that which you wish to
receive
It often
amazes me how small we think. The universe is constantly presenting us with a
smorgasbord of lasting fulfillment, yet we tend to settle for scraps.
There is a story of a man who goes fishing. After he catches the fish, he
measures it up against a ruler and if it's bigger than the ruler, he throw it
back. By the end of the day he has thrown back quite a few, and a fellow
fisherman asks him why. He explains, "The pot I use to cook the fish is only 12
inches wide. I have no use for the bigger fish."
Life wants to give us everything, but, when we're stuck with our small desires,
it's like we are throwing it away.
Today, rethink what it is you want out of life. Expand your desires. Imagine
that you can do or have anything and allow yourself the courage to go for it.
The power
of miracles is available to us at every moment.
There are many practical steps you can take to connect with this power. They all
involve finding excitement and beauty in the permanent and lasting gifts of the
Creator.
-
Begin the day with gratitude
-
Realize that life itself is a miracle.
-
Recognize the precision and wonder of nature.
-
Seek the Light in every person you meet.
-
Identify the Light in all things.
Exercise these five steps today and you will have the power of miracles on your side. Create the unthinkable - for yourself, for your loved ones, and for the world.
How do you drink your coffee?
From a cup.
It's the same with the energy, or light, of the Creator. In order for it to be
revealed in this world, there must be a vessel.
On a simple level, every positive action we do creates a container for the Light
to be revealed, and every negative action tears it down. Whether or not there is
a vessel, the Light is always present; this is important to remember.
Build a strong vessel today by doing as many thoughtful, loving actions you can
think of.
Kabbalists
spell holy with a W.
The world is one complete whole
and we are connected to each other through the spark of the Creator that exists
within us all. If we harm others, we are in fact harming ourselves. Mistreating
another person is like sticking a finger into an electric socket. There are
repercussions attached to our every word and deed. That is why sharing acts
towards others are always in our best interests.
Turn this awareness on today. See the whole picture. In moments of conflict,
treat others with respect and consideration. This is what it means to be holy.
Many times
we want to give conditionally and yet expect others to give us
unconditionally. The universe doesn't work that way. When
we calculate our sharing, we end up with people who do the same to us.
Find one way your sharing is limited. Let go of your expectations and just give.
That's how you can attract more unconditional people into your life.
For the
last two days I've been explaining the role difficult people play in your life.
Here is one more point that is perhaps the greatest incentive to own up to your
reactions: The Light will continue sending you the same challenges until you've
learned your lesson.
The sooner you accept these situations, and get to the root of what they're
about, the sooner the Light will stop sending you them.
Tonight, before falling asleep, think about your interactions today and how they
made you feel. Understand that the discomfort was the universe helping you learn
your lesson. And know that the universe will continue to give you that pain
until you can look at it and accept that it's about your growth, not the other
person or situation.
