B $MART BUY ART!

WHY? Because it’s a safe, sure investment and has been for many Centuries. This is not a new concept; it’s only new to most Americans, who have not been advised properly.

I would like to thank you for your phone call inquiries & emails in response to my last article, "MOOD spelled backwards is DOOM!

So you realize you can keep your cash under your mattress or on YOUR WALL! I will now answer the most commonly asked questions:

1-Q: I do not know anything about art or the market? Where do I start?

A: Call me for private consult. 242-8811.

2- Q: I was always told to buy what I like, and I don’t know if that’s a good investment?

A: When first starting out with building a collection, buying right is important. The right artists, at the right price! Remember, if it goes up in value, or has a built in profit, I know you will grow to like it. If you don’t ,trade up or re sell it and buy what you like with the profit.

Having a work of art that increases in value and you love, is a utopian situation, but not impossible when there is an abundance of Inventory.

NOW is a good time, during these uncertain times, collectors are liquidating portions of their collections or upgrading.

3- Q. what artists are considered investment grade?

A: Old Masters, 20th Century Masters & contemporary artists that have a very good track record of sales.

4-Q: Whom do we recommend?

A: The top ten artists that I started my personal collection with were all male…They have dominated the industry for years, however, it is changing and many woman are now being recognized.

DALI- MIRO- PICASSO- CHAGALL- WARHOL- NEIMAN- MAX-ANTHONY QUINN-WYETH-KEITH HARING are the top ten….

There are too many to list! Please check out AWARD winning artists that have a great future, if you are estate planning.

These well known artists have been published in Lithographic & serigraphy mediums and are still very affordable. Of course, you have to buy at WHOLESALE to get a built in profit. However, these works are still appreciating in value.

Depending on your budget, there are etchings, originals and many great sculptures to select from a wide inventory.

5-Q: What about Giclee’s?

A: This is a very inexpensive medium to use to decorate your office. Since these are NOT limited editions, they are usually worth what you pay for them? I would not pay much. Again, prices will range depending on the artist name, but understand that most of these are computer generated, often the artist hand does not touch the work in traditional fine art style.

This is a great time for newcomers, investors and collectors to take advantage of what this age-old industry has to offer.

Support the Arts!

Have a creative week!
