Today (Saturday – March 21) at the Darling Tennis Center, our Summerlin Arbors Team swept.  We won all the matches:  5-0

It was a superior effort.  I am so proud of everyone.  We did not lose a set.

 

We have begun the season with a perfect record of:  2-0

 

Here are the match results:

 

#l Singles:  Double "K" defeated Andrew Lanfear in straights by an impressive score.  Double "K" played consistently and aggressively, taking the net on many occasions to close out the point.  Double "K" is an intelligent shotmaker and really crafts every point with purpose.

 

#2 Singles:  The Tightrope Walker defeated Herm Robinson in straights.  What an awesome performance combining shotmaking, smart serving, power tennis and creative strategic chess like moves.

 

#l Dubs:  Rippin' Rey/Pit Bull Bill defeated Mike Holcomb/Steve Francis in straights including a second set bagel with cream cheese.  The Pit Bull's serves were on fire.  They were exploding out of his cannon.  Rippin' Rey in two years, is still undefeated in DUBS.  His forehands were cranking.

 

#2 Dubs:  Van Goh/Rocket Rick defeated John Rodrigues/Bruce Wilson in straights.  Our guys are also undefeated in DUBS over two years.  They are a great team combining power, finesse, intelligence, focus, determination and great teamwork.  Also if there is one word I would use for these guys:  ATHLETICISM.  There are always some points where you simply go WOW.

 

#3 Dubs:  Double "A"/Chico Suave defeated Blair Sanders/Jim Wursthorn in straights.  Double "A" is one of the greatest southpaws I have ever seen playing dubs and Chico Suave is always consistent and plays with enthusiasm and razor sharp focus.  They are a superb #3 dubs team.  They played on CENTER COURT and they were interviewed by Johnny Mac after the match on the post game show.  Chico Suave then was granted a sponsorship with HEINKEKEN BEER.

 

Next week we are at home at Summerlin Arbors.  Afternoon matches at l & 2:30.

Standing O to the beautiful wives who support us.  Christina (Irvan's wife) and their adorable son Brandon;  Anna (Rick's wife) and their cute son ANDRE; and also Nicki's wonderful wife and their 3 kids.  Also Double "K's" beautiful daughter Sarah was courtside rooting him on to victory.

 

With that type of support, how could we possibly lose???

 

Christina said that they should show up next week in mini-skirts.  They received my thunderous applause and support.

 

Onwards, upwards, always reaching for the STARS and BEYOND.
