What a perfect birthday present today:
Summerlin Arbors 4 - All American Lorenzi 1
None of us really like 7 a.m. start up times. When we arrived at 6:30 a.m. it was freezing and very windy. However you guys really DELIVERED BIG TIME.
We are 4-0. In First Place. We have the best record of all l6 4.0 teams. Oh What a Feeling.
RESULTS:
#1 Singles: Double "K" was defeated by All American's Chris Ho: 6-2, 6-l. Chris was amazingly consistent and played brilliantly. Double "K" put up a valiant fight.
This was Double "K's" first defeat.
#2 Singles: The Tight Rope Walker (Summerlin Arbors) defeated Kirill Mitchell: 6-2, 6-0 (bagel and cream cheese). Nicky was truly on fire. Kirill is 20 years old and has a huge game. The Tight Rope Walker was simply extraordinary today. By the way, be got off work at ZUMANITY (show at NY NY) at l a.m. He had a few hours of sleep. The Tight Rope Walker is becoming a superstar. He plays like a Grand Chess master. So smart. Thanks to Rippin Rey for getting him ready this week.
#l Dubs: Rippin' Rey/Pit Bull Bill (Summerlin Arbors) defeated Zack Martinez/Mike Gallagher 6-3, 7-5. Our guys played BIG. Rippin' Rey is still undefeated in dubs over a two year span. They are a GREAT dubs team. Perfect chemistry and teamwork. It was a magnificent performance by two outstanding players. Fabulous effort
#2 Dubs: Double "A"/Chico SUAVE (Summerlin Arbors) defeated David Altfas/Douglas Wenzel 6-2, 2-6, l-0. They played like WINNERS in the tiebreaker, winning by a large margin. Southpaw Double "A" ripped his usual winners and SUAVE came through on the big points. They are undefeated this year. They are good friends and it shows by their communication during the matches. Their strategy and their results are awesome.
#3 Dubs: Van Goh/Rocket Rick (Summerlin Arbors) defeated James/Andrews 3-6, 6-2, l-0. Van Goh/Rocket won by a huge margin in the l0 point tie-breaker. As your CAPTAIN I am proud of the fact that this great team is also undefeated in DUBS over a two year period. After losing the first set, Van Goh and the Rocket improved their level of play dramatically in the second set. It was like watching a red ferrari switch into it's highest gear. They literally blew their opponents off the court in the crucial tie-breaker. It was a superb performance.
Irwan Goh's beautiful wife Christina was courtside with their beautiful son Brandon. Also Rick's gorgeous wife Ana and their son Andre was there to root us on to victory.
Thanks to Van Goh, Rippin Rey and Rocket Rick for the delicious CELEBRATION BREAKFAST at the Egg and Eye.
