All true spiritual teachers have at least one thing in common: genuine care for others. Enlightenment begins and ends here, with the cultivation of our concern for others.

I'm not sure that telling you to care for others will be enough today. But at least be honest with yourself and admit when you are not.

It's a major short-circuit when we don't practice what we preach.

I know that better than many because my words and actions are observed by so many. We all have that responsibility to make sure our thoughts, words and deeds are aligned.

Today, match your actions to your words. You will discover a great personal power and satisfaction.

It's a powerful time we live in. The best and worst in history. All this pain and misery, and yet greater numbers of people are re-evaluating and transforming like I've never seen in my life time.

Make room in your heart for others today. We all need each other. That's what this time is all about.

Don't get too caught up in what people say about you. Most of the time they're not aware of what comes out of their mouths.

You might have experienced this: someone insults you and it sticks with you for days until you finally confront the person, only to be told in earnest, "I said what? I don't even remember."

This happens a lot more than we think.

Don't take it personally today. Let everything go. Ask yourself, "will I care about this in five years from now?" Or better yet, five minutes.

Giving with agenda lessens your return. Every time you help and then wait for the thank you, you diminish the Light you just revealed.

Agenda is always there. It's a monkey sitting on your shoulder, sabotaging all your good deeds. Getting rid of this pesky primate means constantly being aware of its presence.

Today, before you help, ask yourself, "where is my monkey now?"

Ego gets a bad rap. It can be good sometimes to have ego in the sense that you know your worth and gifts. It's called positive ego.

Today, focus on what you like about yourself. The more you know yourself, the more you can do in the world.

I want to share with you a useful way to deal with any challenge you may face in your life:

The Proactive Formula

  1. an obstacle occurs
  2. realize your reaction is the real enemy
  3. shut down your reactive system and invite the Light in
  4. effectively express your proactive nature

Use this three times today. Yes, it’s work. But it works.
