It is that time when we honor our mothers, stepmothers, grandmothers and anyone who has nurtured, comforted and cared for us. Below are a few suggestions to make this one of the most special Mother’s Day ever.

Simon at Palms Place is offering a special Mother’s Day brunch. In addition to Simon’s regularly served brunch menu, the Mother’s Day brunch will feature a Lobster Benedict on toasted brioche with lobster hollandaise, Anson Mills graham pancakes with sour cherry compote and a carving station of Prime Beef Tenderloin with red wine and horseradish sauce. Mothers attending the special brunch will receive a parting gift including offers from Simon at Palms Place, Drift Spa and Sunset Tan. The hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and the cost is $45 per-adult which includes bottomless champagne and $15 per-child

Society Café Encore

Society Café Encore, the popular restaurant concept, will offer lunch and dinner specials for Mother’s Day.

On Sunday, May 10, mothers dining at Society Café Encore will receive a rose upon entrance (while supplies last) and enjoy special dishes added to the menu to make this Mother’s Day an experience to remember. These added special dishes include the “Blue Swimmer Crab” appetizer with Avocado and Golden Tomato Gazpacho and the main entrée “Pan Roasted Alaskan Halibut” with Shaved Spring Vegetable & Citrus Herb Salad.

Society’s Mother’s Day dinner menu is priced at just $45 per person and includes a Choice of appetizer: “Tasting of Salad,” Caesar, Fruit & Nut, Iceberg Wedge, “Roasted Tomato Bisque,” Parmesan Pepper Lavash or the popular “Mac & Cheese Bites” with Truffle Dipping Sauce. –Entrée choices include: “Maine Lobster Pot Pie” with Spring Vegetables, Puff Pastry; “Surf & Turf,” Petite Filet & Tiger Shrimp Skewer or Society’s signature “Trenne Pasta” with Proscuitto, Parmesan Truffle Cream, Spring Peas. The special menu also includes “Donuts for the table” with Society’s house made donuts with chocolate and caramel dipping sauces.

Morton’s the Steakhouse

Whether you're taking Mom out for dinner or making a special meal at home, toast your favorite woman with a special cocktail from Morton's The Steakhouse. The "Mom-tini," available at Morton's The Steakhouse from Friday, May 8 to Sunday, May 10, is a fruity, bubbly drink that will start the celebration on a sweet note.

For those "at-home" bartenders, here's the recipe:

Morton's "Mom-tini"

Makes 5 - 6 drinks

1 oz raspberry puree
1 oz Aperol
5 oz Lunetta Prosecco
1 oz Club Soda
2 oz Heavenly Raspberry Chambord Foam (recipe below)
Mint Leaf for Garnish

Pour Puree and Aperol into the wine glass. Slowly pour 5 ounces of chilled Lunetta Prosecco into glass and top with Club Soda. Top with Heavenly Raspberry and Chambord Foam. Place straw in drink and top with mint leaf.

Heavenly Raspberry and Chambord Foam:

5 oz egg whites
5 oz Funkin Raspberry Puree
5 oz Chambord
Juice from 1 lemon

Measure all ingredients into martini shaker. Shake vigorously for 5 seconds.

ENVY The Steakhouse

Featuring a musical serenade, ENVY The Steakhouse celebrates Mother’s Day with a special tribute by pianist Wes Winters.  The celebration is highlighted by Mimosas and a memorable gift for mom.

ENVY The Steakhouse’s “Mother’s Day Brunch” includes a wine and cheese tasting, bottomless sparkling wine, Mimosas, fruit smoothies, and a “Build your own” Bloody Mary bar.  Appetizers include fresh fruit and berries, smoked salmon with tomatoes, red onions and capers and ENVY’s signature fruit and granola parfaits.  Brunch also features various serving stations, including omelets, classic Belgium waffles and seafood stations.  Entrees include Eggs Benedict with hollandaise, vanilla raisin Brioche French toast, and mini gourmet sandwiches. The dessert menu consists of a homemade variation of mousses, chocolate covered strawberries, and assorted mini pastries.

Mother’s Day Brunch will also include carving stations with Rack of Lamb and Prime Rib, as well as expanded salad and dessert stations. The brunch is offered at $35 per person.  Kids under the age of 12 will receive a 50% discount and children under 5 are free.  Reservations are strongly re com mended and the hours are 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and live music by pianist Wes Winters from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

B&B Ristorante

Celebrity Chef Mario Batali will present a prix fixe menu for Mother’s Day at B&B Ristorante. The menu will include such items as Calamari and Seppie Fritti, Housemade Pappardelle Bolognese, Grilled Guinea Hen and Chocolate Budino. The cost is $75 per person plus tax and gratuity.

Pinot Brasserie

From 11am-3pm, a three course, prix fixe brunch menu can be enjoyed at Pinot Brasserie. Selection choices may include Lobster Bisque, Cinnamon-Apple stuffed French toast, Crab Cake Benedict, chocolate soufflé, and Oeuf à la neige. The cost is $35 per person plus tax and gratuity

Postrio

Wolfgang Puck’s Postrio is celebrating Mother’s Day by offering an array of spring-inspired dishes. In addition to the specials, a la carte menus will be available. Items will include Brioche French Toast topped with Fresh Market Berries ($16), Wolfgang’s Signature Smoked Salmon Pizza served with Dill Crème Fraiche and Caviar ($28), Maryland Crab Benedict complemented by Tomatoes and Spicy Hollandaise ($24), and Traditional Cherry Pie made with Port-glazed Cherries and accompanied by Vanilla Bean Ice Cream ($12).

Zeffirino

From 10am-3pm on Mothers Day, enjoy freshly steamed Lobster, Shrimp, Oysters, and Clams. Also offered is a big selection of Appetizers: Mozzarella Caprese, Proscuitto and Melon; Grilled Vegetables, Smoked Salmon; a variety of Salads, and a selection of Cold Cuts. Entrees include home-made Pastas, Lamb Chops, Chateaubriand, Chicken, Poached Salmon and Chilean Sea Bass. Breakfast Delicacies, Omelets made to order, 25 Varieties of Pastries and Cakes freshly made by our own Bakers will be available. Dos Caminos

For Mother’s Day, Dos Caminos will be serving the following specials all day, in addition to the brunch and dinner menus: Squash Blossom Rellenos with Crispy Goat cheese and Serrano Ham stuffed squash blossoms, and roasted tomato chipotle sauce ($10), Ancho Chile Butter Poached Lobster Tacos with mango pico de gallo, avocado, homemade flour tortillas, and rice and beans ($18), Alaskan King Crab Benedict with toasted brioche, alaskan king crab, valentina hollandaise, and Mexican home fries ($15), and Guava and Sweet Cheese Empanadas with bing cherry compot and crema ice cream ($9). In addition, guests will receive complimentary Cajeta ice cream sandwiches with cajeta caramel ice cream in a white chocolate rose frosted cookie. 

Restaurant Charlie

Enjoy Mother’s Day at Charlie Trotter’s Restaurant Charlie. The menu includes Salad of White & Green Asparagus with Morels & Nasturtium, Alaskan Halibut with Citrus, Watermelon Radish & Fennel, Beef Tenderloin with Potato Puree, Pearl Onions & Parmesan, and Dark Chocolate Ganache Sponge Cake with Sangria Sorbet & Kiffir Lime includes a complimentary glass of Sparkling Wine. The cost is $95 per person plus tax and gratuity and $50 additional for wine pairing

Guests receive a baked pastry with recipe card, a complimentary mimosa, and all mothers will get a $10 gift card. From 11a.m. to 4 p.m., the Brunch menu items consist of Asian Pear Pancakes, Cast Iron Baked Eggs, and Tuna Tataki in addition to coffee, tea, orange juice, and assorted pastries and breakfast cakes. The cost is $35 per person plus tax and gratuity
