The Zohar tells us that when Rav Shimon first left the cave after channeling the Zohar, so fierce was his gaze that a man standing nearby burst into flames! We're not talking about the paranormal here. We're talking about how very damaging judgment can be.

Today, look for the good in someone in whom you are accustomed to seeing only bad. Fill your heart with tolerance and love for this person.

We become accustomed to living limited, to operating at less than our full capacity. And yet, great fulfillment awaits us if only we can have a larger desire.

Today, dig down deep and figure out if you are unintentionally keeping your desire small. Are you limiting what you can accomplish? Are you thinking small? Can your desire be expanded?

DREAM BIG!

Having our buttons pushed is one way to discover those traits that we need to correct. The other way that we can get a glimpse of our garbage is by looking for repetitive patterns that limit or block us. It's like the movie, "Groundhog Day," in which the same scenario occurs day after day after day.

Today, look for patterns in your life that do not bring you joy.

Kabbalah concurs with many holistic healers and practitioners on the idea that while we are exposed to countless bacteria, virus, and illness each day, it is our thoughts, words and behaviors that weaken our immune systems and allow dis-ease to set in.

As we continue to pray, meditate and send good wishes of healing Light across the globe, today let's take responsibility for fortifying our own immune systems, and collectively, the world's.

It's difficult to get to our core issues. We're dealing with an onion. There are many layers to peel away before getting to the core; it takes time and effort.

But if we're constantly giving in to our patterns, if we're constantly judging others instead of looking at our own negative qualities, we'll keep feeding the ego.

It will be much harder to find our core issues while we're living our patterns and letting the judgment of others rule our thoughts.

Today, focus on one difficult relationship where you are bringing a lot of judgment to the table. What is one way you can change your response to this person?

When it's night, it's not as if the sun has gone. Its light is concealed from us because it's on the other side of the world The sun never goes out. If it's gray and cloudy during the day, but we fly above the clouds, what do we see? Sunshine. It's always there. Just like our limitations and blockages prevent us from always experiencing the Light.

One of the best tools to help illuminate the Light inside us and make the darkness disappear is to seek out the Light in others, especially in people who annoy us or those with whom we may not have the best relationship. When we look at them and see the good — the Light inside them — we connect with and reveal the Light inside us.

The harder it is to find the Light, the more potential there is for Light to be revealed.

Today, seek out your mother-in-law, your co-worker, your boss — whoever that button pushing person is and try to find the Light inside . Actually, don't try. Just find it.

The more light we see in others, the more we'll see in ourselves.

One way to shut up that carping voice in our heads is to practice gratitude.

Today, call a friend or your teacher or open your journal and say ten things you are grateful for.
