I witnessed an upsetting interaction recently between a mother and son where the mother said "no" to everything the kid said. She made him feel like something was wrong with him for expressing his feelings.

A parent who makes a habit out of denying his children's feelings is creating problems for that child down the road.

Today, put your point of view aside and understand where your kid (friend, boss, cousin...) is coming from. Empathy teaches kids to trust their feelings and intuitions, and it creates sensitivity to the feelings and needs of others.

A great Kabbalist once said, "When you get busy worrying about the welfare of others, the Light gets busy worrying about you."

Find ways to care for others today. Let your worries alone for a change.

We each have a field of energy that extends a little more than seven feet from our bodies. Although we can't see this field, it's as real as gravity.

When we're standing near someone we have the ability to affect them in a very real, tangible way.

Today, pay attention to what kind of "vibes" you're putting out there.

We can provide all sorts of smart answers that will convince or persuade people, but wisdom of the heart is the highest wisdom.

Today, when people ask you for advice, imagine you are that person. Taking the extra 30 seconds to put yourself in their shoes will ensure that you speak from your soul, not your head.
 

The blows the hurt us the most come from our own fists. Self-doubt and self-hatred — these are our biggest opponents in life.

Loving ourselves is not egotistical. On the contrary, not recognizing our beauty and gifts is a denial of the Creator's Light.

Today, feel how special you are.

Everything that happens in your life has a cause — you. This concept is not easy to live, but when you do it allows you to take control of your destiny every day.

Today, take TOTAL responsibility for everything that happens to you. Blame, avoidance, judgment, apathy...just say no!

I do not wish to talk you into transforming. Growth is a matter of free choice. The best I can do is elevate my own sparks, so that the Light I reveal will speak to the souls of the people I want to help.

Focus on fixing yourself today. It's the best way to fix others.
