Marlon Brando Outs Paul Newman, Hip-Pocketing Starlets, Movies This Week: Terminator: Salvation, Dance Flick, The Hangover and The Girlfriend Experience, Is Doomsday October 28, 2011? and more…

What Was Pretty – Back Then.

Pornography, religion, or art? Want to guess? Scientists in Hohle Fels, Germany, uncovered an ancient figurine in a cave that is believed to be the oldest example of sculpture ever found.

The tiny piece, carved from mammoth ivory, is believed to be around 35,000 years old. Known as the Venus of Hohle Fels, it depicts a female figure with exaggerated breasts and thighs.

This proves the value men and women placed on the ability to survive, give birth, and feed one’s young or did men need visual stimulation as an incentive during cold winter months while in a cave in Germany?

Scott Marks’ Compulsion Expulsion.

I believe every actor in Hollywood is gay or gay-for-pay. As Jerry Seinfeld famously said: “Not that there’s anything wrong with that.”

It’s the ultimate expression of a person’s power to say “yes” in an industry everyone wants to be in. The casting couch is reality even for big stars. Ask Harvey Weinstein (pictured) how he casts his movies.

Was Clark Gable gay? Paul Newman was gay? I’m shocked!

The headline reads: Marlon Brando: “Paul Newman was just as bisexual as I was”. U.K.’s The Globe newspaper is reporting: “You would figure that by now news that a Hollywood actor had a secret sex life would hardly be worth a mention, but when it’s Marlon Brando outing Paul Newman heads are sure to turn.

“The Globe is reporting that a sensational new biography of Paul Newman reveals that Marlon Brando claims, “He never fooled me. Paul Newman had just as many on-location affairs as the rest of us, and he was just as bisexual as I was. But, where I was always getting caught with my pants down, he managed to do it in the dark.”

“Brando was interviewed in 2004 and it sounds like the actor was jealous of Newman’s ability to keep a lid on his private life. Paul Newman: The Man Behind the Baby Blues is the work of Darwin Porter, a man Cinematical calls “a sexual detective ridiculously obsessed with Newman’s sex life.”

Porter tells the Globe he has been following Newman’s various sexual liaisons since he met the actor in 1959. The book alleges that the actor, who was happily married to Joanne Woodward for 50 years, had affairs with Hollywood beauties like Grace Kelly, Judy Garland, Natalie Wood and Marilyn Monroe. If the book is accurate, Newman and Brando both had affairs with James Dean.

“Not surprisingly, the actor’s family has dismissed Porter’s book, stating the sex allegations are “disgusting.” Cinematical reports Ms. Woodward, “met Newman when he was married to another, and she was engaged to the then bisexual Gore Vidal. The trio even shared a house together for a while — not exactly the history that brings someone to find gayness their worst nightmare.”

“A source tells the Globe, “Paul knew there were rumors out there about his sexuality and to have to face them when he’s not here to dispute them is Joanne’s worst nightmare.” What Newman did in his bedroom should have no impact on his reputation as an actor. Porter is just another media whore trying to rape the bones of dead celebrities all in the name of the almighty buck.” http://www.emulsioncompulsion.com/2009/05/14/gossip/marlon-brando-paul-newman-was-just-as-bisexual-as-i-was

Hip-Pocketing Starlets.

In related news, gossip site TMZ ran this story about a class action lawsuit brought against one of the most powerful talent agencies in the world by a 23-year-old Canadian fashion model. The plaintiff is representing other "similarly situated" women! The headline reads: Actress Claims Sexual Battery Against ICM (Posted May 19th 2009 by TMZ)

“The former Miss British Columbia 2004 claims in a lawsuit one of the biggest talent agencies in the world promised her stardom but instead -- she says she became the victim of a sexual assault.

Claire Robinson claims in her suit, filed today in L.A. County Superior Court, International Creative Management (ICM) "hip-pocketed" her -- that's a term used when a senior agent takes an inexperienced actress without credits under his wing. The suit claims the agency "sexually exploited the 'hip-pocketed' actresses" they brought in.

“Robinson claims in her lawsuit she was "sexually battered in an ICM limousine en route to a Paramount Studio event." The suit goes on ..."Robinson was later raped by another co-conspirator." Robinson claims the alleged rapist is a talent manager who conspired with ICM Executive VP Jack Gilardi (pictured in 2004 at the CineVegas International Film Festival).

“Robinson (pictured) claims Gilardi accepted bribes -- in the form of cash and gold watches -- in return for "hip pocketing" an actress who his friends wanted to "sexually exploit."

“Robinson says the "hip-pocketing" practice is conducted "under the nose of Jeffrey Berg, the Chairman of ICM, in full view of its employees," and is an "inside joke" or "dirty secret," known by all within the entertainment industry.

“An ICM spokesperson just gave TMZ the following statement: "Ms. Robinson's allegations are completely baseless. ICM denies any and all wrongdoing and will vigorously defend this action."

This lawsuit doesn’t surprise me. In fact, it is late in coming.

Nikki Finke of www.DeadlineHollywoodDaily.com has read the complaint and posted this: “…Robinson claims that, two years ago, she visited his office where he verbally agreed to be her agent and have ICM represent her. She alleges that on May 20, 2007, the 79-year-old Gilardi "made sexual advances" towards her in an ICM limousine while they were on their way to an awards show.” The complaint also claims that Robinson "has since learned that this scheme has ensnared other girls who were 'hip-pocketed' at ICM", maybe as many as "hundreds", without providing any details.”

Terminator Salvation. I don’t want to make Bale angry, but his weak supporting role isn’t what we expected from iconic messiah John Connor.

Entertainment Weekly’s May 22nd cover story on Christian Bale reported that his “image could suffer” because of his infamous rant: “A recent survey in Ad Age suggested that his drawing power may have taken a hit because of the incident.”

That “Rant Out” dance remix is on my iPod. Its genius. http://popwatch.ew.com/popwatch/2009/02/bale-rant-remix.html

Since when did Christian Bale become a role model for children? (I love everything he does!) Didn’t we all see Bale create the definitive creature known as Patrick Bateman? Who took the Ad Age survey anyhow? When was the last time you cared what Ad Age said?

I know what is making Bale so angry. Like Bale, I live on less than 500 calories a day. He’s starving. Hunger makes you irritable.

Bale lives his roles, so when he was in character as John Connor the DP waltzed by his sight line while he was emoting. (I like to think the DP was talking on his cell phone and eating a sandwich.) Bale was furious because of the lack of respect. He was acting, goddamn it!

Did we need to resurrect John Connor? Yes! But did we need to see him bullied by General Ashdown (Michael Ironside), the submarine head of the land resistance who is not on board or impressed with Connor being the messiah?

Why does condemned killer Marcus Wright (new sensation Sam Worthington) have the strongest role? His killer-with-a-conscience story is far more interesting than Connor’s.

It’s 2018 and the dreaded Judgment Day was 14 years ago. The machines became self-aware and, since mankind was lazy and let machines do everything for us, the machines decided to get rid of humans. There are bands of human survivors fighting the Skynet Terminators in a losing war.

Earth has become one huge garbage dump.

One of the resistance fighters is John Connor (Christian Bale). He’s got a soulmate-faced pregnant wife, Kate (Bryce Dallas Howard). So John Connor is emotionally attached and not that willing to die in a blaze of glory. He’s going to be a daddy. And, he’s caught up in a time-travel muddle-fuddle. Like the new Mr. Spock and the survivors of Oceanic flight 815, he’s looking for Kyle Reese (Anton Yelchin) the kid who will become his father. Connor has audiotapes from his future mother Sarah Connor helping him navigate his life. So Sarah Connor is a disembodied oracle, or, a Yahweh-Without-Powers.

Why do the survivors all over the world see John Connor as their savior?

Why doesn’t Skynet just destroy all the farms? Why not just starve out the survivors?

Meanwhile, death row bound Marcus Wright, who has given his body to Skynet for a kiss, wakes up to find himself in the future and the first person he meets is Kyle Reese and his mute friend Star (Jadagrace). Later, Marcus mixes it up with the anti-Kate, sexy resistance fighter Blair Williams (Moon Bloodgood).

Blair brings Marcus to Connor. Was Marcus sent from the future to kill him? Connor is crazy-paranoid.

The Entertainment Weekly article says the screenwriters had to punch up John Connor’s part to get Bale to sign on. The screenwriters, John Brancato & Michael Ferris, didn’t deliver. Bale should have yelled at them!

He’s hardly in the movie, gets hurt a lot and has to be carried out of the battlefield, doesn’t have the sex drive to be even visually interested in Blair, and allows Marcus to have the conflicted storyline. Marcus is the hero. Like Jesus, he makes the big sacrifice to save humanity.

The director, McG, gives the terminators too much screen time. What uber-machine gives the orders? McG has given “Terminator Salvation” a terrific look, but what is Bryce Dallas Howard doing here? What was Kate’s purpose?

Why am I seeing too much of Anton Yelchin? Is he also in “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince”? Is he going to be one of Daniel Day-Lewis’ lovers in “Nine”?

Mayan Calendar Long Count ends December 21, 2012 or October 28, 2011? “They” better make up their minds! I’m planning an End of the World Party and now I’ll have to re-do the party invitations. Thanks to an email from Exopolitics.com (exopolitics@exopolitics.com), I found out that there is a usurper date – a pretender date if you will - to the December 21, 2012 “Doomsday” celebration. It’s October 28, 2011! It is suggested that this date is being intentionally kept from the public. For more information see: http://www.examiner.com/examiner/x-2912-Seattle-Exopolitics-Examiner~y2009m5d19-The-risks-of-believing-that-the-Mayan-calendar-ends- December-21-2012.

How did they come to the December 21, 2012 date? Over the decades much discussion has focused on finding the exact correlation between the Mayan Long Count and the Gregorian calendar. Most researchers in the field have now come to agree that the so-called GMT correlation, placing the beginning of the Long Count 4 Ahau 8 Cumku on the Julian day 584 283, August 11, 3114 BC, is correct. This means by consequence that the current cycle will end on December 21, 2012.
