The Latin Chamber, through the Southern Nevada Workforce Investment Board, has received Workforce Investment Act (WIA) Stimulus Youth funding to provide paid work experience opportunities for our youth. WIA provides a framework for creating comprehensive and effective strategies to serve youth as they transition into the world of work.

The positions will last approximately 5 weeks. Participants will work 20 hours a week, earn $7.25 an hour and learn valuable employment skills. They will go through a 3-week classroom training program, consisting of job/life training, entrepreneurial skills and tax preparation training, prior to starting work.
