Love, faith and hope will
never succumb to hate, bigotry and destruction.
The event at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum on Wednesday, June 10, 2009, was
tragic, but the opportunity to raise one’s thoughts above the lowliness of
small, fearful, egocentric, false self-supremacy is there for each of us. Take
the opportunity in every tragedy to honor faithfully a Higher Spirit and the
powers of truth, fairness, decency, respect, humanity and love.
Love is, without doubt, bigger than hate.
Make a positive difference in every sphere — the home, the neighborhood, the
community, the city, the nation and the world — so that higher minds and
wholesome hearts prevail.

In Memory of Officer Stephen Tyrone Johns

I did not know you, but I know you were a Peace Officer.
On the fateful day, you served in the line of duty to keep the peace as you helped to keep others safe.
Your public passing is a beacon of light that cuts through the dark tragedy; we must see the hope through the hate, which knows no color, creed or faith.
I did not know you, but from here on, I will remember your name, Stephen Tyrone Johns.
You are now, I trust, a man at peace.
May your family and friends rest their heads and hearts on your profound, prominent, proud role on the fateful day.
To All Of Us Who Remain,
May We Act In The Spirit Of Peace, Love, Faith, Understanding and Responsibility.
