Image Update: Immy is doing great, no more colic signs and he is passing manure. Thankfully it was probably just a gas colic. All the horses should return from the clinic this week. It's been delayed because the clinic is short handed as Dr. Schur gave birth to a healthy baby girl this past weekend! Congratulations!

The elderly Burro arrived this morning. We have named him "Donkey Otie" (AKA Don Quixote), thanks to Eric for the great name! Otie is very old with few remaining teeth, but he still has spunk! He was originally found along the road to Pahrump, just standing there by the roadside. The Wild Horse Association and the BLM picked him up and after spending a few days at the vet clinic, he was brought out to Shiloh. He is thin and pretty scraggly with lots of scrapes and cuts on him , but with some good food and care, he should gain back his health. He is missing parts of his ears, and he has old scars all over his nose and mouth. If only he could talk, we would love to hear his life's story. But, it looks like he will be spending the rest of his days wandering in our Burro herd and we are happy to welcome him to the family.

And then we let him out to wander. Here he is checking out the group at the feed room. After a while, he caught up with the Burro herd and grazed off of the hay pile. It looks like he is settled in already!

Arson, whose hoof is looking great, was moved back into Mesquite Manor.

We worked on Rugrat's skin fungus. It's looking better. She had so much hair when she was rescued, it covered her horrible skin underneath.

Sandi hopped on Capone- it's a love match! Capone has recovered enough to be lightly ridden and spoiled and Sandi is up for the job!

She just loves this sweet old gelding, and he loves her back. it's very cute to see...

There was a HUGE dust storm that blew through the rescue. Watch City Center's roof! Luckily, Mike from next door came by and is going to fix it. Those dust devils can be scary, as it came at me, I finally stopped filming. I thought I was going to be picked and no one would ever find me again...
