City officials will break ground for the SkyView Multi-Generational Center at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 30, at 3050 E. Centennial Parkway, at the northeast corner of Centennial Parkway and Statz Street.

The $11.3 million project will provide amenities, including an indoor swimming pool, multi-purpose room and fitness quadrant.  The 35,700 square-foot facility will be designed to provide fun and fitness opportunities for people of all ages.

Construction will begin in July 2009.  The project is expected to be complete by September 2010.

SkyView will be the City’s third full-service community center.  The City’s other two recreation centers are Neighborhood Recreation Center, located at 1638 N. Bruce Street, and Silver Mesa Recreation Center, located at 4025 Allen Lane.
