We all deal with stress every day and put ourselves under tremendous pressure.  Personally, I am on the computer every morning with social networking, answering emails, setting up appointments and going over my very busy calendar. Many of you have children and grandchildren you are raising along with the demands of your job.  Most of us have heard about the benefits of massage but I wanted to write about my personal experience.

I like Massage Heights, Adobe Plaza in Henderson because it is locally owned (as part of a national franchise).  When Massage Heights Adobe Plaza held their grand opening of their beautiful new Henderson location earlier this year, I attended the media night and I was immediately impressed with their warm earth tones and a sense of calm from the front desk to the staff. I truly felt as if I stepped into another world.

Allison Mizener, the owner of the Henderson, wanted to make this a unique experience for anyone coming to Massage Heights. “I was a massage customer and I saw a business model that was attractive to me. I wanted to own a massage retreat. So I not only purchased a franchise from Massage Heights, I purchased the rights to the Las Vegas region and I am the regional developer for Las Vegas.”

So, when I went in for my massage, I was amazed at the serene environment.  At the front desk, I filled out a form in case there are medical conditions and concerns the therapist needs to know about. This includes if you prefer either a male or female massage therapist or any other restrictions. The therapist’s only goal is to give me a great experience.

First, I must discuss the sheets.  The sheet count is 600, making them so unbelievably soft and luxurious; I really didn’t want to leave.  I did not realize that sheets like these were even created.  I knew I was in for a great treat.

I really liked my therapist. She was responsive to my needs, made certain I was comfortable at all times and I was in heaven after my massage. This really is a retreat.  The music is comforting, the lighting is soft, and I can’t emphasize enough the benefits received taking 90 minutes for you.  In today’s world, it is important to maintain your emotional and mental balance as well as your physical health.
