POLITZ IS BACK.....

I have been quiet for so long. It's time to get back to business uncovering the reality of Vegas. By the way my TV show, Vegas Confessions is heading into our 4th season of filming. If you get HDNet you really gotta take a look and see what all the talk is about. The show is so controversial that it was banned by most Vegas properties. The MGM even threatened law suites if we ran any part of the pilot that was filmed inside LAX. The joke is that the properties carry HDNet on their TV line-ups so you can watch and hear directly in your room. A few talkative employees layoffs later we find out that it was all part of spin mistress Jenn Michael’s personal vendetta against me for exposing the Sin City Beer ethics issues. Now that Jim Murren is in charge maybe he can get to the bottom of it all. This issue alone has become so big that even Alan Feldman, Senior Vice President of Public Affairs for MGM MIRAGE and chief SPIN Doctor decided to “Not Accept” our information as NEWS. I guess that means they don’t want you readers to spend money on their properties either. ROK club owner Jonas Lawrence was further directed by MGM staffer Erin Randell to spend his ad dollars everywhere but with us. When questioned about this, MGM executives claimed it wasn’t true basically calling their partner Lawrence a liar. What they don’t know is that LA based Lawrence is and friend of ours and comes to us often for advice on Vegas. Looks like there were a few changes here in Vegas. Let's start at The Mirage where The Sugar Factory opened its first location in Vegas. Rumors are that MGM/Mirage PR had problems with the hired Sugar Factory PR. I wonder if it’s because they are not carrying Sin City Beer, But there will be frozen hot chocolate.

Remember when Elton John was playing Vegas? Well, he left his store behind and that is soon to become another burger bar style restaurant. How many is that now? Off the success of Hubert Keller's take over of Joe Romano's concept at Mandalay Place. I guess Romano knew the secret all along! Speaking of Mandalay, sources directly told me that the Food and Beverage numbers were back up and they should have been using a skeleton crew all along.

Anyone had the meatballs at Lavo? Forget the meatballs, Have the Spiedini, its owner Lou Abins favorite dish on the new menu. Rumors are that previous Chef Ludo is blaming the Lavo Mediterranean cuisine failure on everyone but himself. Man up Ludo! More on Lavo later.

Penthouse Gentleman's club has been taken over by the legend of The Crazy Horse in Vegas. At one time Crazy Horse defined the genre for Vegas. The Crazy Horse III is about to take the next step and redefine the experience for the World. Rumors are that there are a few large rock stars bringing their rock Dead Man’s Hand to the Crazy Horse property known as The Playground, which includes the after hours club Obsession.

If you go to Rao's in Caesar's Palace make sure you check in with Bubbles first. He really adds to the entire experience.

How could I forget? Ding Dong the Witch is Dead!! Greenspun Media fired Michael Carr from whatever BS position he had. Now he can go climb back under the pile of crap he crawled out of.

Poor Max Jacobson lost his position as food editor. I really liked Max. He became a good friend and will be missed. STAY TUNED!

In a few weeks we are launching The Biggest Prick in Vegas contest… Get your entries ready and get ready to Vote!!!!

Sunday night at LAVO inside The Palazzo, Lil Jon stopped by the nightclub for Vice Sundays. The rapper, wearing khaki shorts and sunglasses was spotted drinking shots of vodka and tequila, chased by Beer. Shorts and Sunglasses? What Vegas club allows anyone to walk in wearing shorts and sunglasses? According to Lavo representatives, “We occasionally make exceptions for celebrity friends of the club and entry is at the discretion of the door.:” WOW! Need I say anymore?

ROV-ING The Vegas Scene:

At Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas: Actor Taye Diggs attending REHAB. Also spotted at the world-famous pool party, comedian Artie Lange and MMA fighter Rashad Evans.

Hollywood Inside info:

Emmy-winning Sopranos heroine Drea de Matteo is joining the cast as Wisteria Lane's newest vixenish housewife, sources confirm that De Matteo, who will be a series regular, will play the matriarch of a new Italian family. Casting is underway for her landscape designer husband and their tightly wound son.
