All of the horses who were worked on by the vet are doing nicely.
The geldings are recovering without any complications, Shadow's area where his
skin cancer was removed looks good and Tioga's skin biopsy areas are fine as
well.
Yesterday we had moved Roy out of Big Vacation Village and put him into the Mare
Motel. He was showing minor colic signs and we wanted to be able to keep a
closer eye on him. He was treated with Banamine and watched by the guys
throughout the evening and the night. This morning he had passed manure, was
drinking water and was anxious to have his breakfast. He was moved back out into
his pasture today and all looks normal.
Seattle was moved out into the Big Pasture causing quite a stir. The dust has
been flying as the horses have been playing with each other. Seattle appears
happy to be in the herd and has settled into his new life at Shiloh.
Just a reminder, Shiloh's new Summer Hours for Volunteers and Visitors are from
8am until 1pm. Note: These hours do not pertain to our Boarders. Owners of
boarded horses are welcome at Shiloh anytime.
See you
all at the ranch!
