Recently,
I attended the grand opening and ribbon-cutting for Elements
Kitchen & Martini Bar. At that time, they were offering 252
martinis (now up to 270 martinis) and created The Oscar Baby
martini during the grand opening. Later, I was invited to a
chef’s tasting and spoke with the chefs/owners Catherine and
Jose Luis Pawelek.
They met
while working on a cruise ship 30 years ago and have
operated successful businesses and restaurants in Florida
and New Hampshire before moving to Las Vegas.
After
3 months of intense searching throughout Las Vegas, they
found the perfect location that gave them a sense of
community (Spanish Trail area) and the ability to introduce
their new concept restaurant. This is where Chef Jose Luis'
shines with his home-made bread, smaller plates (tapas) and
entrees while Pastry Chef Catherine showcases her desserts,
chutney and her world famous Martini List (270 varieties and
counting).
