Once you're convinced you know it all, you start not knowing. Self confidence is all well and good. Just remember that you grow by learning. You learn by being open. Being open means you don't know anything.

Today when you are explaining something to someone, be open to learning and hearing their point of view. When you think you know, you shut yourself off from really knowing.

Life is a series of ups and downs, highs and dips. Feels like it. But the deeper you go into spirituality and working on yourself, the more you realize, the highs are always there. It's a matter of consciousness. Where are you focusing your thoughts?

At any given moment, you can find great and terrible. Choose to find the best today. Keep choosing. Soon, it'll be highs all the time.

The advice we give people is the advice we need to take.

Today, think of that one person you keep saying the same things to over and over again. Do it yourself. Lead by example. They will follow.

Doing things to gain respect or approval from others is a useless pursuit. No amount of praise will satisfy when we are feeling empty inside.

Today, be honest. Are you doing things to please yourself - or to please others? Forget about what people think about you. Do it because you know it's right for you...and for your soul.

When you are volunteering or giving charity, and you think you are "helping" someone, you're missing the boat. They are helping you by giving you a chance to share. The giver is the receiver.

Think about this today when you are sharing. That person is doing you the biggest favor ever.

When we "blame" something — we take away any chance of lasting resolution. There is always more than what meets the eye — the whole concept of 99%/1% is based on this. When we blame — we're making a decision and judgment based only on 1% stuff. That gets us nowhere.

The first step is to stop pointing our finger at others. It may work for the moment but what we really want is 99% resolution and for that we have to connect beyond our rational mind.

Today — resist 1% judgment, resist blame, resist the toxic thoughts. Make a space for the 99% to do its job. Ask for guidance and inspiration.

And step out of the way.

How do we connect to God? Transformation. Each time we resist our ego—our self-centered nature that wants to react, scream, cheat, yell, worry and abuse—we connect.

Today, when your buttons are pushed, when some annoying individual incites you to anger, resist your reflexive response. Do the opposite.
