Marriage Can Be Murder

There are several interactive dinner shows, but “Marriage Can Be Murder” is the longest running comedy murder mystery show, celebrating 10 years of “murder and mayhem” with a laugh.  Recently, the show moved to the Fitzgeralds Casino and Hotel in downtown Las Vegas and two well-known Las Vegans helped celebrate both the move and success in a town where shows have closed within weeks of opening.

On July 14, Mayor Oscar Goodman arrived to present a special proclamation to the cast for the show’s 10th anniversary.

Instead, Mayor Goodman became the first “murder victim” of the night being accidentally “shot” by a hit man.  Then on July 15, Monti Rock III was one of the special guests to continue the week-long celebration and he became the first “murder victim” of the night.

The interactive theater has actors sitting throughout the theater during dinner and the performance and they seamlessly blend in with members of the audience.  The “police officer” sent to “investigate” the first murder and the “hostess” is spontaneous, funny and really knows how to bring out the comedian in all of us, leading the group in fun.  Not to give anything away (although the plot changes constantly), the audience can “write clues” on a pad and several chances to interview other audience members (although anyone can be a plant).

Along with a really fun show, dinner is served.  The menu includes:

Tossed salad with choice of dressing (ranch & Italian)

Entrée includes choice of:

Tender Sirloin of Beef with Mushroom sauce, Zesty Lemon Chicken Picatti OR Saucy Salmon or the vegetarian special of the day. All entrees include roasted red potatoes and chef’s choice of vegetables

Dessert is cheese cake with strawberry sauce (no guarantees, but we will try to make sure there is no blood in the sauce)

“Marriage Can Be Murder” is a four-dimensional theater concept created more than 20 years ago by the husband and wife team of Eric and Jayne Post and has been seen by more than 250,000 audience members in the past 10 years.

“Marriage Can Be Murder” can be seen seven nights a week at 6:30 p.m. with seating beginning at 6 p.m. inside the showroom at Fitzgeralds Casino and Hotel.  “Marriage Can Be Murder” dinner show package is $54.95 and includes one non-alcoholic drink and tip.
