Titus Statement on Shooting at Las Vegas Courthouse
January 4, 2010 – Henderson, NV – Congresswoman Dina Titus of Nevada’s Third District released the following statement today on the shooting at the Lloyd D. George Federal Courthouse in Las Vegas:
“My thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families of this morning’s senseless act of violence. Our federal marshals and security personnel serve bravely and with distinction every day. They are committed to the safety of all who set foot in the federal courthouse as they place themselves in harm’s way to ensure our security.
“As more details of this morning’s shootings become available, it is critical that we examine any steps we must take to assist those who serve on the front line to protect our community.”
