This Week: The Mob Chronicles, NGC Presents Inside Polygamy, Vince Neil Birthday Celebration at Feelgoods, Sex Tapes of the Rich and Famous, NGC’s Taboo: Being fat in Mauritania, Realtor Bob Gaudioso, Ricky Gervais on sterilization, and more…

The Mob ChroniclesThe Mob Chronicles. Who isn’t fascinated with mobsters? They’ve got a license to kill and get paid for it. I read “Ice Man: Confessions of a Mafia Contract Killer” by Philip Carlo about the ruthless, gleefully sadist-killer Richard Kuklinski.

Richard “The Iceman” Kuklinski (April 11, 1935–March 5, 2006) was a Polish Italian American who was a convicted murderer and notorious contract killer.

The 6'5" 300 pound hitman worked for several Italian-American crime families, and claimed to have murdered over 100 men over a career that lasted 30 years; he killed his first victim at age 13.

Perhaps you saw the two documentaries featuring interviews with Kuklinski by Dr. Park Dietz that aired on HBO.

Need to ask someone who really knows how to find a reliable hit man or a good tip on a horse?

We in Las Vegas have a unique and highly fascinating opportunity to spend the evening with Frank Cullotta, a mobster-turned-government witness in a 2-hour presentation with a Q&A to follow.

Denny GriffinCullotta’s speaking tour, Mob Chronicles, explores the history of organized crime and his insider knowledge of mob life. Cullotta was a key member in infamous mobster Tony Spilotro’s “Hole in the Wall Gang” that ruled the Las Vegas underworld in the 1960s and ’70s. While Cullotta admits to two mob hits, he is rumored to be responsible for many more.

Others may have tried, but I’ll get him to give up the exact number. Now is not the time to be coy! I’m sure his victims did something to deserve what they got.

In the Martin Scorsese film Casino, Cullotta served as technical advisor and played a small role. In 2007, he co-authored, with Denny Griffin, pictured in a tux (dennisngriffin.com), his biography, “Cullotta—The Life of a Chicago Criminal, Las Vegas Mobster and Government Witness.”

Denny Griffin and Frank Cullotta (cullotta.com) will be signing copies of their book after the show. Mob Chronicles is a one-night only special event being held at the Galaxy Room at The Stratosphere Hotel and Casino on February 18 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $35 and are on sale at the Stratosphere Box Office or call (702) 380-7711.

Valentine's Day Card Sent to Me by NGC and Winston BlackmoreNGC Presents Inside Polygamy: Life is Bountiful. I’m a big fan of “Big Love” and watch every program on polygamy. If I were starting my own religion, I would institute polygamy. It’s the only way to get the numbers up. Who would join a church consisting of only 4 members?

However, only if I were starting my own religion—not joining one! I refuse to have sister-wives! Or sharing anything.

Winston Blackmore is the family patriarch and leader of a fundamentalist Mormon polygamist community in Bountiful, British Columbia, that includes his 20-some wives and more than 100 children.

Well, his DNA is going to be around much longer than anyone else’s I know. If genes mean anything, Fundamentalist Mormons will be influencing and directing human evolution for centuries!

Winston, like all who practice the principle, believes that plural marriage and siring dozens of children will help guarantee his entrance into the highest of Heavens. For the first time ever, he is giving a TV crew access to his family, including an exclusive invitation to film his son’s wedding. As National Geographic Channel program chronicles the loves and lives of the Blackmore clan, they explore the major historic events and personalities that have led to modern-day Mormon fundamentalism.

The darker side of some polygamous clans is also explored: child abuse, underage marriage, oppression of women and welfare fraud.

Winston BlackmoreI know many wonderful, strongly family-oriented Mormons, but not one Fundamentalist Mormon family! I’m available for friendship, but not babysitting.

Joseph Smith, the founder of the Latter Day Saint movement, announced that an angel has given him a set of golden plates. Smith published a translation of these plates as the Book of Mormon and organized the first Latter Day Saint church. Publicly, Smith taught innovative religious doctrines; he introduced the practice of polygamy as well as a symbolic Millennial legislature that anointed him king.

Officially outlawing polygamy (for statehood), that the founder preached and practiced, is like Catholics dropping Jesus Christ as the Redeemer Savior and installing the Virgin Mary in His place.

NGC’s “Inside Polygamy: Life Is Bountiful” premieres Wednesday, February 10 at 9p.m. ET/PT. channel.nationalgeographic.com.

Feelgoods Rock Bar & GrillVince Neil Birthday Celebration at Feelgoods Rock Bar & Grill. Motley Crue frontman Vince Neil’s Feelgoods Rock Bar & Grill on West Sahara held a big birthday party on Saturday, February 6 for its famous co-owner.

Vince NeilVince Neil celebrated his birthday with the ultimate bash and invited everyone in Las Vegas to join him. Special guests were Dinner For The Music Gods who kicked off the evening of great music at 9:30 p.m. At 10:30 p.m. the Vince Neil Band rocked the house with a special performance. House-band Blandini took the stage afterward and kept the energy flowing into the early morning hours.

This was the rock party of the year. There was great food, drink specials, live music and celebrity friends who showed up to wish Neil a Happy Birthday.

Feelgoods Rock Bar & Grill is located at 6750 West Sahara Avenue. Admission price is $15 at the door. Table reservations are available. For more information or to make a reservation, please call 702-220-8849 or visit www.feelgoodsvegas.com.

Rielle HunterSex Tapes of the Rich and Famous. It’s the coin of the realm. It’s also the newest blackmail tool! I’m sure there are plenty of sex tapes of Tiger Woods out there. Now Woods will have to appear as the public face of sex addiction and show himself as a remorseful, humiliated sex addict Number I. It’s a very serious and deadly disease suffered exclusively by famous men. (Woods six week “treatment” costs $60,000.)

Will we ever see disgraced John Edwards’ sex tape? Edwards may have ended his political career by having unprotected sex with a “videographer” in her forties (do we even have to question her motivations?), humiliating himself with a dumb cover-up, and using campaign money to keep his aging mistress like a gilded princess, but there is one highly satisfying perk for Edwards that has come out of this mess.

The sex tape reportedly “stars a well-endowed Edwards and a naked, pregnant Hunter in a romp just before the January 2008 Iowa caucus.” www.nypost.com.

NGC’s Taboo. Yes, I’m addicted to the National Geographic Channel. On NGC’s series “Taboo” they recently did a program devoted to “fat people.” In much of the West thin is beautiful, and fat is taboo. But a new health epidemic is sweeping the planet: obesity. In the near future, there will be no skinny people over 12.

In Mauritania, mothers risk the health of their daughters by force-feeding them to fatten them for marriage. I did some further research on the force-feeding of girls in Mauritania. channel.nationalgeographic.com.

I found this article in MarieClaire.com by Abigail Haworth called “Forced to Be Fat.” In Mauritania, where big is beautiful and stretch marks are sexy, young girls are brutally force-fed a diet of up to 16,000 calories a day to prepare them for marriage. Here is a summary of the article:

Mauritanian tradition holds that among women, rolling layers of fat are the height of sexiness. The preference originated centuries ago among the Moors, nomadic Muslims of Arabic and Berber stock who make up two-thirds of Mauritania’s 3.1 million people. To the ancient Moors, a fat wife was a symbol of a man’s wealth, proof that he had enough riches to feed her generously.

Force-feeding (leblouh) has never been outlawed in this Islamic republic. Elhacen, a professional force-feeder, estimates that around Atar, a commercial hub 250 miles from the capital Nouakchott, the proportion of girls undergoing force-feeding has climbed to over 80 percent.

Elhacen makes the equivalent of $155 for each girl she force-feeds over a three-month period. Each girl’s daily intake 14,000 to 16,000 calories.

How do small girls eat these gargantuan amounts of food? “I’m very strict,” boasts Elhacen. “I beat the girls, or torture them by squeezing a stick between their toes. (Shown in the NGC program.) I isolate them and tell them that thin women are inferior.”

I say: “Obese women of America without husbands, listen up! Go to Mauritania and be treated like Angelina Jolie. Stop suffering! Go to Mauritania where being fat is a status symbol!”

Realtor Bob Gaudioso. I found the best realtor in Las Vegas. I know a lot of real estate agents. Everybody has a license to sell homes! I did a little google research. There use to be over 24,000 realtors in Clark County (Las Vegas, Henderson and North Las Vegas). Because of the housing down-turn the numbers are lower. The statistics from winter 2008–2009 are: Clark County has 13,383 active realtors and 3,236 inactive realtors; 1,748 active brokers and 6,436 inactive brokers; 2,163 active broker-salespersons and 740 inactive broker-sales persons. http://www.city-data.com.

Bob GaudiosoI highly recommend realtors Bob Gaudioso and Carol Ann Gaudioso who work out of Coldwell Banker’s Summerlin office. You want realtors who will devote themselves to finding you the house you want, on the street you want, and then do the tough negotiations and ton of paperwork that are necessary in this economic nightmare. (You also have to give a huge down-payment and a pint of fresh blood.)

Carol Ann and Bob Gaudioso will do everything—whatever it takes and then some—to get you not just any house, but a house you will be proud of.

Bob was my son’s realtor and he is absolutely amazing! Bob Gaudioso’s contact information is: cell: 702-491-7705; office: 702-256-4900; email address: bgaud@cox.net.

Ricky Gervais. Ricky, a brilliant comedian who recently hosted the Golden Globes, is promoting his new HBO series, The Ricky Gervais Show—which will begin this month. In Ricky Gervaisa highly controversial interview he made a few frank comments:

On the population problem: “Yes, but it’s where it’s condensed. It’s not too many people, it’s too many people with nothing, too many unwanted children, too many people who are poor and struggling, as opposed to too many people. If they all had a good quality of life, no one would complain. What there is, is too many useless people. Too many people who shouldn’t have children.”

On sterilization: “Yes, based on…stupid, fat faces,” he snarls. “If there’s a woman in leggings, eating chips with a fag in her mouth, sterilise her.” You think we should sterilise chavs? He laughs: “You said ‘chavs’; I didn’t. I described an irresponsible parent. Chavs could be included in irresponsible, though.”

What is a “chav”? “Chav” is a term applied to certain young people in the United Kingdom. A chav is an aggressive teenager, typically unemployed or of working class background, who repeatedly engages in anti-social behavior, such as drug abuse and rowdiness, or other forms of juvenile delinquency.
