New Reality Show ‘The B Girls’ Debuts
Gorgeous titleholders from the Miss USA pageants were welcomed at THE PALAZZO’s Dal Toro to celebrate a new reality show called ‘The B Girls.’ The reality show follows the lives of five beautiful titleholders (Idaho, Nevada, Virginia and Washington) as they embark on a series of challenges including boardroom interview, non-verbal communication drills, fitness challenges, fashion shows, talent showcases, cooking competitions and character tests, showing viewers what it takes to get the crown. In addition to the five titleholders an array of other past and present pageant titleholders filled the room. Believe it or not, these beautiful ladies pictured below are Miss Teen USA pageant contestants alongside Miss USA contestants. A fashion show by pageant winners and entertainment was presented by Las Vegas’ own Theory of Flight Band.
Frank Cullotta’s Mob Chronicles
Former Mobster Frank Cullotta Presents Mob Chronicles at the STRATOSPHERE. Former Las Vegas mobster and hit man Frank Cullotta will present the Mob Chronicles in the Stratosphere Theater of the Stars on Thursday, February 18th at 7:30 p.m. This one-time charity event will benefit Opportunity Village.
After eight years of prison and 20 years of witness protection, Cullotta is going public with his speaking tour, Mob Chronicles, about the history of organized crime and his unique insights into the mob life. Joining him will be various members of law enforcement who worked for years in attempts to indict Cullotta. During the show, audience members will have the opportunity to interact with Cullotta as well as former Las Vegas Metro detectives and FBI agents that investigated the actual crimes.
Cullotta served as a key player in Tony Spilotro’s infamous Hole in the Wall Gang that ruled the Las Vegas underworld in the 1960s and ’70s. While Cullotta admits to two mob hits, he is rumored to be responsible for many more, including the “M&M Murders” in 1962. After his arrest on burglary charges in 1981 and fearing for his own life, he turned government witness and testified before the President’s Commission on Organized Crime, resulting in the convictions of several of his former associates. The mob attempted to post Cullotta’s bail so they could carry out his hit, but police revoked the bail to protect him.
In the Martin Scorsese film Casino, loosely based on characters like Spilotro’s gang, Cullotta served as technical advisor and played a small role as one of the henchmen. In 2007, he co-authored his biography, “Cullotta—The Life of a Chicago Criminal, Las Vegas Mobster and Government Witness.” General admission is $35.
Additionally, after the presentation, Frank Cullotta will host an intimate VIP Godfather Dinner for only 10 guests at STRATOSPHERE’s Fellini’s Ristorante. For $60, guests will have the chance to enjoy a lively and colorful conversation with Cullotta. Proceeds from this once in a lifetime dinner will benefit Opportunity Village. (Dinner includes tax and gratuity but does not include drinks.)
Andrew Dice Clay Now At Las Vegas Hilton’s Shimmer Showroom
The Legendary Bad Boy of Comedy, Andrew Dice Clay, has just signed a long-term contract with the LAS VEGAS HILTON. Dice will perform a minimum of 28 weeks with show times at 11:00 p.m. in the casino’s 350-seat Shimmer Showroom.
Dice commented, “The Hilton is known for having the Kings of Entertainment. Elvis, The King of Rock ’n’ Roll, and a who’s who of the world’s top entertainers. And now, they have me, The Undisputed Heavyweight Comedy King. Don’t forget that The Hilton is an institution, and let’s face it…anyone who has heard my act knows that an institution is exactly where I belong.”
Andrew Dice Clay has made a career out of being the most outrageous and dangerous comic of his time. Also in the Shimmer Showroom, the world’s greatest close-up magician, Steve Dacri will perform his “In Your Face” magic for an unlimited engagement starting February 17 at 8 p.m. Steve Dacri has been seen on television on The Tonight Show, Live With Regis & Kelly and Good Morning America. I’ve seen him, and he is amazing.
Norm Crosby Rocked the New Vegas Rocks Café
Somehow, the Oldies are the best. An incredible comedic performance by Norm Crosby was presented at the new VEGAS ROCKS CAFE (founded by Tony Sacca and Josette LeBlond). Norm created a laugh a minute that was enjoyed by a crowd that never stopped laughing. I’ve known Norm Crosby for many years and I was delighted that he remembered me as he hugged and kissed me. What a guy! The evening started with Tony Sacca introducing some celebrities in he crowd, such as Rich Little, Steve Rossi, Clint Holmes, and Toni Hart. He then introduced John Garigiola who sang beautiful operatic renditions.
Chippendales Celebrate Longest Running Male Revue in Las Vegas
Chippendales celebrated 3,000 performances at the RIO as the longest running Male Revue in Las Vegas. Following their 3,000th show, Chippendales celebrated with a cake and gifts for all the ladies in attendance in their very own Flirt Lounge. Chippendales also recently celebrated its 30th Anniversary and this month, in addition to celebrating 3,000 performances, also celebrates 8 years at the RIO!
Terry Fator & His Cast of Thousands at The Mirage
Over the past year, Terry Fator has been entertaining the masses as a Strip headliner in Terry Fator & His Cast of Thousands at THE MIRAGE. Without moving his lips, Fator has left audiences stunned by his talent as he takes them on a journey through the idiosyncrasies of characters, including Winston the Impersonating Turtle, Cowboy Walter T. Airedale and Duggie Scott Walker.
Vikki “The Cougar” was the first new character introduced for Fator’s headlining show. After a year on the prowl, Vikki finally gets a new colleague. Well, sort of, but fans will have to wait a little bit longer for the reveal. The character’s no dummy and is waiting to make its appearance during the special anniversary show on Saturday, March 13. For this one-night-only event tickets start at $79, excluding tax and service fees, which includes entrance to the show, as well as entry to the after-party at B.B. King’s Blues Club where members of Fator’s band will jam with the B.B. King’s Las Vegas All Stars.
Ferraro’s Italian Restaurant and Wine Bar Opens
Longtime restaurateur Gino Ferraro who has received numerous awards and accolades, just opened a beautiful new location called FERRARO’S ITALIAN RESTAURANT and WINE BAR at 4480 Paradise Rd. across from the HARD ROCK HOTEL/CASINO. It is quite a place with an expanded menu and a 36-ft. long wine cellar replete with 10,000 distinctive Italian and California wines, a double-sided wine bar that opens to the indoor bar area and outdoor patio. FERARRO presents live music daily, lounge seating and late night dining. The ambiance consists of walnut wood-finished floors, crown moldings, blown glass chandeliers and mood lighting and the food is fabulous. Check it out!

Landmark Hussong’s Cantina Opens Location in Las Vegas
If you ever visited Ensenada in Baja, Mexico you surely visited HUSSONG’s CANTINA. It is a landmark—a legend—and people all over the world know about it. Famous celebrities have been there and the Margarita was invented there in October 1941 by bartender Don Carlos. Now, Las Vegas is the setting for its own HUSSONG’s CANTINA at The Shoppes at MANDALAY PLACE. Besides the great food and drinks, this place is a fun and entertaining experience.

OPPORTUNITY VILLAGE is a not-for-profit organization that serves more than 1,300 people with intellectual disabilities on a daily basis to enhance their lives and the lives of their families through job training, employment opportunities, art enrichment, recreation and advocacy. Opportunity Village operates three campuses around Las Vegas as well as a Thrift Store downtown. The organization has been a staple in the Las Vegas community since 1954 and is 80% self-funded.
THE PALMS held the Miss Playboy Club Model Search at Playboy Club. Famous for co-starring on E!’s hit reality TV series, “The Girls Next Door” as well as starring on Travel Channel’s “Bridget’s Sexiest Beaches,” Bridget Marquardt hosted the Miss Playboy Club Model Search on Sunday, Jan. 31. Marquardt crowned Miss Playboy Club of the Year (2010), chosen among last year’s monthly contestant winners. In addition, Miss Playboy Club February was also announced.
The image of adult film star, Sunset Thomas has been added to the celebrity caricature filled walls of The Palm Restaurant at CAESARS. Sunset is the first adult industry icon to grace their walls. “This is such an honor,” beamed Sunset. “It shows a level of acceptance that makes me proud!” Sunset has danced with the X-Girls at the Palms, the Flamingo and the Aladdin and has made appearances at the Las Vegas Film Festival. Simply put, Sunset is a Sin City Celeb. She chose to have her full-body sketch placed between the bar and the restaurant.
Start your engines and head down to Lagasse’s Stadium to witness NASCAR Champion Tony Stewart be honored as part of THE VENETIAN and THE PALAZZO’s Legends of the Sport series on Saturday, February 27. Starting at 5:00 p.m. inside Lagasse’s Stadium at The Palazzo, the evening will include a highlight reel of Stewart’s career followed by a Q&A session discussing the driver’s success. Race car driver Ryan Newman will also make an appearance at the event.

NATIONAL CONDOM AWARENESS MONTH. AID for AIDS of Nevada (AFAN) encourages the community to remember safe sex practices as a measure to decrease the number of people who contract HIV/AIDS, among other diseases. For more than 25 years, AFAN has continued to offer programs to accommodate the range of clients they serve. With more than 8,000 people in Clark County infected with HIV/AIDS, AFAN reaches out to those in need of their services during National Condom Awareness Month. In addition, AFAN office offers complimentary condoms to clients.
National Condom Awareness Month originally started on a university campus in California, which grew into an educational event for high schools, colleges, family planning organizations, AIDS groups, pharmacies and condom manufacturers across the country. While humor is often used to help provide safe sex education, the month continues to emphasize the importance of recognizing ways to prevent unwanted pregnancies and the catching or spreading sexually transmitted diseases. Additional condom awareness dates in February include: National Condom Day, celebrated on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14, which is also the start of National Condom Week, Feb. 14–21.

AID for AIDS of Nevada (AFAN) was founded in 1984 and is the oldest and largest AIDS service organization in the state of Nevada. For more than 25 years, AFAN has practiced its unyielding commitment to the community by providing unparalleled health expertise, support and advocacy for adults and children living with and affected by HIV/AIDS in southern Nevada. Over the years, AFAN has created various programs that offer consistent and comprehensive assistance including direct client service programs, food programs, prevention and education programs and community outreach.
