HOPES and DREAMS Original watercolor by Alayne Abrahams
“HOPES and DREAMS”

''Muse Award'' copyright Artv, Inc. 2005Lights, Camera, Action” are the words very familiar to most TV and film actors. However, it’s a dream come true for fine artists to be recognized in such a fashion. Traditionally, most painters and sculptors are not even considered worthy of international fame until they are gone, but in the 21st century, the methods of marketing for fine artists and their creations are reaching for the stars.

American artist, Alayne Abrahams, who specializes in drawing and watercolor, is among the few rising to the top. Alayne, who resides in Ambler, Pennsylvania, is among the top 10 recipients to have participated in a yearlong, worldwide competition, that is very strenuous. She won the ARTV AWARD for “drawing” in the most recent program, staged in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Alayne hit the red carpet with energy, enthusiasm and gratitude. In front of an international audience of artists, collectors, gallery owners, and business community, she made an acceptance speech in true Hollywood style, dressed in 1920’s fashion that topped off this memorable event.

This program is not just about the quality of creativity, technique and aesthetics of the artwork, but the artists are judged on how they perform in front of a camera. ARTV is for a televised viewing audience and therefore demands the utmost discipline from the finalists.

It’s a well-known fact that most fine artists paint because this is their means of communication. Stepping out from behind the canvas to compete and expose themselves is a new trend in itself.

And the winner is…

Alayne had demonstrated her understanding and social ability throughout the entire process. The realization that many people do not have the luxury of art education in school systems, enough art programming on TV, nor access to museums in some countries, makes these artists important role models for future generations.

In addition to her performance, I would describe her imagery as fantasy and whimsical. Her artwork portrays that anything is possible and limitless within our imagination. Her fairy imagery is now moving into a more cosmic dreamlike style.

Alayne paints the world living in total harmony; humans, creatures, elements, animals, nature and the cosmos, creating her own special Garden of Eden. Her belief is that we are all parts of the universal source and meant to live peacefully alongside one another.

In the current environment of war and discord, she creates images to convey whimsy and beauty, with a vision of how we should co-exist.

Assuming there are more artists in the world than soldiers in the military, these images are really powerful messages. They could penetrate the consciousness and should saturate the globe. Utilizing the power of art to transform the internal world of the viewer is the magic!

ARTIST statement: “I believe that looking at something beautiful, colorful and ethereal has the power to elevate our mind and shift our energy to a level above the ordinary. Ultimately, if that higher level of ‘being’ is maintained, I believe that we then have the potential to change our world for the better of all who inhabit it!”

''ART PEACE'' Original Watercolor

Collectively, we can all contribute to making this possible. Individually, we each make a difference.

These are Alaynes, Hopes and Dreams.

ART Peace!
