March 31, 2010 – North Las Vegas, NV – As part of the federal requirements for funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, North Las Vegas is putting together a 5-year consolidated plan in partnership with the Clark County Consortium. City officials are seeking participation from residents in forming the plan by asking them to complete a survey.
The survey asks citizens their opinions on everything from the local economy to their needs for City services and desires for improving or maintaining their quality of life.
Federal funding related to this plan is allocated to the City through the HOME program, which provides prospective homeowners with down-payment assistance, the Emergency Repair Program and Community Development Block Grants, which help pay for capital improvements and social services.
