Susie getting the news that Sassy won the 10K seat for her!

ooooo Hooooo! Great news from the personal front! In case you have been following my progress in the 10K Club that I am a member of, I won the $10K seat...thanks to Michelle aka “Sassy” Richey!

I am in Pendleton, OR for a series of poker tournaments. The 8th game in the 10K Club took place last Sunday. Sassy went in for me as a sub. There was an total of seven players who could have caught me in those last two games, however, if I got nine points I was out of reach and no one could catch up. Wonderful Sassy played great, made a couple of awesome lay-downs and super plays and got 10 points for me!

What a fantastic feeling to start the 2010 WSOP with that 10K seat all wrapped up. I will be playing my heart out for every member in the club and hope to make them proud...and rich, and of course I will take care of my “shero” Sassy! Well done, Sassy Girl

MORE GREAT NEWS from Florida via Pendleton. We (the girls and I) had gathered in my room for a cocktail and chit chat when I got a call from my friend Donnie Vann from Jacksonville, FL. He was so thrilled. He had played a big super satellite on Sunday for a 10K WSOP seat and won it outright (no deals)! So when he comes to Las Vegas, he starts his first ever WSOP experience as a winner! (Reminder: he is the young man who has been a quadriplegic for half of his life).

Poker is his passion, Internet poker also, and he has a great personality. I have been asked by potential sponsors if he was a good poker player. I now have the answer! He will be driving cross country in a white van pulling a white trailer. His goal is to sell advertising to help with expenses.

Somehow I find it very fateful that Donnie and I won our tickets to the big dance on then same day. This huge news gave the girls and I a real good reason to celebrate, so celebrate we did!
