I Have Been Going a Mile a Minute

WThis is how I felt after the first workout
ell, actually I’m sure I’ll never go a mile a minute, but I sure put my treadmill “through the mill” so to speak. As a matter of fact, I have killed it. I have been really working to get myself in shape for what it is going to take to have a good WSOP. I didn’t even make an effort to play in the main event last year because I wasn’t prepared mentally, emotionally or physically.

This year is another story. I have been in training. First I wore the belt out on my treadmill, then a few hundred miles later, something broke and it was apparent that it was time for a new one. That actually made me proud. So after some investigation, I decided on an Elliptical Exerciser. It looked like a funny looking treadmill/stationary bicycle. But best of all, it took up so much less space and made no noise - a total opposite of the loud treadmill.
The Elliptical
So, off I went on my first Gold’s Gym Stride Trainer 380 Elliptical workout. On the old treadmill, I was up to at least 40 minutes and sometimes an hour a day, five days a week. I didn’t break a sweat until about 30 minutes and going into my second mile. Well let me assure you, this Elliptical piece of equipment worked me like a mule! I only made 20 minutes on my first attempt and was huffing and puffing like I had plowed a couple of acres! I know it is good for me and I am not complaining, as a matter of fact, I like the way I feel after the workout, the sweat and finally the wonderful cool shower. I have never been so prepared physically for the WSOP AND I already have three seats: the ticket to the BIG DANCE, my ladies event, and the Seniors. Here I come!
