Community Fair Celebrates Neighborhood Sustainability Day
June 17, 2010 – North Las Vegas, NV – The City of North Las Vegas invites residents to participate in a free community fair celebrating Neighborhood Sustainability Day from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 26 at College Park, 2613 E. Tonopah Ave.
Festivities include music, games, food, give-aways (while supplies last) and free dental checkups for children. The event features information booths on neighborhood safety, home ownership, foreclosure prevention, “green” and healthy living. Families also can enjoy a cook-out and art-in-the-park activities for children.
This event is presented by the Clarenda Grandview Neighborhood Association with True Family Ministries and Ministerios Pan del Cielo. The community fair is underwritten by the Nevada Bankers Collaborative with support from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and the City of North Las Vegas Office of Housing and Neighborhood Services. Additional sponsors include radio stations Variedades 670 AM, Recuerdo 99.3 FM, La Nueva 103.5 FM, the Nevada Department of Business and Industry, the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada and the Nevada Springs Preserve.

Business Resource Expo
June 17, 2010 – North Las Vegas, NV – The City of North Las Vegas, in partnership with Jimmy’s Market, is holding a Business Resource Expo with an emphasis on small business finance from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 24, at Jimmy’s Cheyenne Market, 1370 W. Cheyenne Ave.
This free event is intended to provide local businesses an opportunity to network with each other, generate business leads an meet North Las Vegas elected officials.
The event also features a finance panel discussion, a question-and-answer session and special lunch offerings from Jimmy’s Cheyenne Market. Students, from college down to elementary school, are invited to attend.

Get Ready For The Independence Day Jubilee
June 16, 2010 – North Las Vegas, NV – Join the City for the 11th Annual Independence Day Jubilee, starting at 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 3, at Seastrand Park, 6330 Camino Eldorado.
Admission is free. Please, leave pets at home.
The jubilation includes a state-of-the-art fireworks show provided by Pyrotecnico. The sparks start flying about 9:30 p.m.
The event also features food and beverage vendors, free children’s activities and live performances by Lady Reiko & The Sin City Prophets (Island Style/Reggae) and Against the Grain (New Country). Budweiser beverage products will also be available for purchase.
