hef Josette Leblond has opened Las Vegas Rocks Café in the revitalized downtown area, featuring a restaurant that honors Las Vegas history and offers live entertainment. Also, as founder and president of Normandie Pate, Inc., her company has manufactured fine pates and sausages since her arrival in America in 1985. Today, Normandie, Inc has expanded into manufacturing bakery goods for airlines, grocery chains and restaurants.

ouro University Nevada has announced the appointment of Schyler Richards as associate vice president for advancement. A native Nevadan, Richards grew up in Carson City and moved to Las Vegas in 1984 to attend the University of Nevada, Las Vegas where she received a bachelors degree in communications. She will be spearheading the planning and implementation of our fundraising, marketing and alumni relations.


For the next few weeks, Debbie will highlight two exceptional women, from the Las Vegas area, that are making a difference.
